(A/N: Hi, guys. Just so you know, this is just kind of a prequel to my main story, Happiness Right Before Death, which by the way I haven't posted yet but I will be soon. It's a Marvel/Glimmer friendship. Hope you enjoy this! :D )
Marvel's Biggest Secret
(A one-shot on how Glimmer found out Marvel's biggest secret)
Glimmer's POV
Finally! Reaping day has come again. And this time, I've been drawn.
I will never forget the day I've been chosen to represent District One. It was an honor. I was sure I was determined to win… until I laid my eyes on him. Then I knew I would never look at the games the same way ever again.
Who's him? I'll be talking about that later. As in WAY later.
Marvel's POV
It didn't take long for us to travel to the Capitol.
It also didn't take a minute for Glimmer to realize what I was hiding.
Glimmer and I come a long way back. Way back in kindergarten. She's my bestfriend and we used to tell each other everything. At least until fifth grade when I confirmed to myself that I was different.
I was snapped back to reality when she barged into my room wearing only white tees and super short shorts.
"Marvel, I thought you said my tee- what the hell is that?" she said as she caught me sipping on my coffee – my pinky finger raised.
I immediately put down the mug on the table and tried to look as calm as possible.
"What? What the hell is what?" I asked, trying to sound innocent. Maybe then she wouldn't notice. Unfortunately, she did.
"Did you just – Were you – Could you – I… Why are you sitting like that?" she frowned and pointed and I became conscious that I was sitting in a leg-crossed-girly-way position. And that was when I blew it.
I uncrossed my legs and motioned for her to sit beside me. She just shrugged it off and kept standing, mouth falling open.
"Y-you know you can't keep me from.. c-concluding, right? I'm not judging, but w-why didn't you tell me? Like ever?" she asked, obviously shaken by what she had just seen.
I patted the couch again so she could relax. Luckily she sat down this time.
"Look, Glimmer, believe me, I wanted to tell you since fifth grade. I was just afraid of what you might think if I told you I liked.. Calvin," I said, nervously waiting for her reply.
"You could have just told me, you know. So I wouldn't have found out like this. Anyway, Calvin who?" she said, as if nothing happened.
"You know. Calvin.. the sixth grader who kept hitting on you," I replied.
"Oh him? Yeah I remember," she smiled, "You've got good taste, byotch."
And that's how Glimmer found out I was gay.
(A/N: So what do you think? I'm gonna post the sequel soon. Hope you drop by to read it. Thanks for reading, everyone! REVIEW? :D )
