Ok so this is a short one shot. Pearl shipping. Oh yea I don't own any of the characters.
It was a cold night, there was a fire burning. Surrounding that fire were three people. One was a young girl, she had blue hair, blue eyes and a white hat with a pink poke ball logo. To her right was a slightly older boy, he had black hair, black eyes and a red hat also with a blue poke ball on it. Opposite the fire from them was a much older trainer, he had spiky brown hair and his eyes had the appearance that they were constantly closed, in this case they were.
"Hey Dawn, where you going?" Ash asked as Dawn was getting up
"Nowhere in particular, can't sleep" she said simply as she walked off
"I'll join you, no point just lying there I guess" Ash said and joined the young coordinator
They walked in silence for some time before Dawn finally stopped at the river side, before sitting down. They both sat in silence for a while before Ash finally asked "so, what's up?"
"Not much I guess" Dawn said blankly, while staring out at the slowly flowing river
"Dawn, I may not be the smartest guy, but I know something's up" Ash said gently
"Fine you got me, guess it was about time" Dawn said expressionlessly "I'll tell you because your my friend Ash, there's this boy that I kinda like and, I don't know what to do"
"Well..." Ash said awkwardly "just tell him" Ash said sounding kinda stupid"
"No, I did not think of that" Dawn said sarcastically "I know that I should it's just... I don't know if he likes me back"
"well, I guess you'll never know unless you try, who knows you might even get lucky" Ash said less stupidly than before
"thanks, I think I know what to do" Dawn said quietly before leaning towards Ash and the next thing he knew he and dawn were kissing each other. The several seconds their lips were entwined felt like hours or maybe even days, none of them knew nor cared. All they knew was that they were in each other's arms and both happy.
