A/N: *I was thinking how different things would be for Naruto if Jiraiya had shown up earlier in Naruto's life, and how things would change. I know something like this has been written before but this is my idea for this.*

Naruto: Seal Master of Konoha

Chapter One: Secrets

"Hey jiji… why does everyone looks at me like that." Naruto said sadly. "They look at me like I'm a monster, and sometimes they call me a demon.."

Sitting next the boy is the Sandaime Hokage of Konohagakure no Sato, Hiruzen Sarutobi, a hardened veteran. He had seen many things in his long life as a shinobi and hokage. The man had made many hard choices in his life and watched war tear through countries, killing any as it goes, but seeing the sadness in the face of the child he saw as his own grandkid broke his heart inside. He wanted to be able to tell him, but years of experience told him that the child was not ready. If he told him, the child might never be able to have any childhood at all (however little that may be). Another factor is that the boy could take the whole thing wrong. He could very well become the monster the villagers think he is if things went downhill. Hiruzen saw the boy awaiting a answer and hardened his heart the best he could, but looked at him with gentleness.

"Naruto-kun, you've asked this before same question before to me. You know my answer…" The Sandaime looked at him with with a sad grimace," I don't know why they look at you this way… but will thinking about it and letting it get you down make things any better? The best thing would be to try your hardest to prove them wrong."

Naruto looked at him with emotion one would think too strong for a Child his age. His face was that of determination, one that would prove them all wrong. "Jiji,I Will prove them wrong! I will become strong and they will see me as me! I will be Hokage and they will look up to me! I'm Uzumaki Naruto, I never give up, and never go back on my word! Believe it!"

To say the Hokage was surprised would be an understatement. The sheer courage and determination in his voice was overwhelming. It made him feel like he could believe in him. The Hokage looked and Naruto and pride filled his heart. "I believe you can do it Naruto-kun." He then glanced down and chuckled grandfatherly like ," Naruto-kun, I think you got so excited you smacked your ramen all over the floor."

He looked down in a scared fervency and paled. "NOOOOOOOOOOO! MY RAMEN!"

Hiruzen laughed, it was good to see that Naruto was still very much a child.

In the middle of tea country there was a man in his late forties meeting with his informant. He was standing at around 191 cm, with a average shinobi build, not too very bulky but very muscular. He had a large mane of waste length white hair and a headband on his forehead with the kanji for "oil". He was wearing a green shinobi outfit with a red haori. Under this was mesh armor, some peeking through the top of his shirt. The outfit was completed with wooden sandals and a black belt. This man was none other than the famous Jiraiya, toad sage, and one of the 3 sannin. Usually he was a carefree, perverted, and hermit like man, wandering from place to place. He did this so that he could keep up with his vast spy system to help his home village, Konoha. This was one of the few times he was serious, he was trying to find information about a certain organization. He's only heard rumors but it seems so far that they could be very dangerous group.

"So what do you have for me Hikaru?", The Sannin asked the informant. "You find anything on the organization?"

The named informant looked around so no one was watching and activated some privacy seals. He then looked at the Sannin with full seriousness," We haven't heard much more than whispers but what we have found out is frightening. They seem to be made out of S class criminals. Not only that but they seem to want to find all the jinchuuriki. Its not clear exactly who they are or what their intentions are but I can tell you that it most likely isn't good."

Jiraiya paled,"Wait did you just say they wanted to find all the jichuuriki?"

Hikaru looked at the man questionably but replied anyway,"Yes, why is there something wron…"

Before he even had a chance to finish speaking Jiraiya got worried," Naruto! He could be in trouble!" As he was speaking he was weaving signs. He bit his thumb and then finished the jutsu, slamming his hand on the ground.

"Summoning Jutsu: Gamahayai"

A sealing matrix appeared where he touched, and smoke came. When the smoke cleared there was a cat sized purple toad sitting there. This toad was Gamahayai, one of the fastest of the toad messengers. "Gamahayai I need you to bring a message to the Sandaime that I will be there as fast as possible, that this is important information!"

"Hai Jiraiya-sama, I will be there as fast as possible." With that, he disappeared in a puff of smoke."

Jiraiya got hold of himself and steadied, it wouldn't help to overreact. "Hikaru I need you to find as much information as you can about them then send for me."

With his last words being said he vanished in a display of speed. The only good thing coming out of it would be he would finally see his godson for the first to me since he was a baby. He left with one thought, I hope Naruto is doing okay.

Sitting in his chair, looking over the village and smoking a pipe, the Hokage heard a puff of smoke from behind him. He turned around to see one of his students messenger toads. This must have been something urgent because he doesn't usually use them.

"Hokage-sama, I have a message from Jiraiya-sama. He said he has a very important message that he had to deliver straight to you. He sent me ahead so that you could know and be ready."

"Thank you, you are dismissed."

"Until next time Hokage-sama" The toad waved and then disappeared.

Now that the Hokage was alone he turned around and looked out onto the village. What was so urgent that he had to send one of his fastest toads? The greying Hokage seemed to look towards the darker section of Konoha and then up to the picture of the Yondaime Hokage. I hope that you can forgive me Minato, for the choices I have had to make and the people of this village for scorning your sacrifice and your son. The Hokage thought about the meeting he was going to have and paled a little. Jiraiya I don't know what you will do when you find out the secrets I've been hiding from you and the things I have done so as to protect him even if you may not see them. Please forgive me…

With those thoughts, Hokage decide to turn in for the night and hope that things work out for the best ...

A/N: Chapter one finished, yay. Leave you on a little cliff wondering maybe what's going to happen next. I hope you enjoyed this even though it is a very small chapter.
