Just a thought I had while watching the promos for GG Season 4.
It's really short but I hope you like it. :)
"Blair!" Serena yelled, running after her.
Blair eventually stopped in front of a fountain and turned around.
"I'm late for my date, Serena." Blair snarled. "I don't have time for your this."
"Stop running away, Blair." Serena sighed. She had been trying to get Blair to own up to how she really felt about how things ended with Chuck for days. Blair had been too calm, too put-together ever since then. It had to be a mask Blair had put on to cover up how much she was hurting inside. But every time she tried to bring the subject up, Blair changed the subject. But tonight, she's going to make Blair talk no matter what.
"Admit it, you are hurting inside." Serena said. If Blair wouldn't take it the soft way, she was just going to take it the hard way.
"I am not hurt, Serena." Blair corrected, staring Serena down. "I was upset, not hurt."
"Really? Because that would explain why all the abnormal behaviors recently." Serena retorted, a hand on her hip.
"I am not talking about this now, Serena." Blair insisted and made an attempt to turn around and walked away, but Serena was fast. Serena grabbed her arm and spin her around.
"Blair! You can't keep running away from this! It doesn't help!"
"Release me, Serena!" Blair struggled, trying to release Serena's tight grip on her arm.
"No! I'm not going to let you go until you talk!" She was putting her feet down on this.
"You want me to talk? Fine, I will. First, release me." Blair demanded.
Serena released her grip on Blair's arm. Blair massaged the area where red patches were already formed, thanks to Serena.
"I really don't see the need to talk about it, Serena. I'm fine now. It's over. That's it."
"Really? Then why couldn't you bring yourself to say his name? Or even hear his name?"
"I can say his name fine." Blair said through tight lips, glaring at the tall blonde.
"Chuck." Serena said casually.
Blair winced at the word. Despite what she had just said, indeed, every time she heard his name, her heart broke and shots of pain ran through her body. She thought that a heart could only break that many times, and one day, it will get better. Alas,The pain doesn't get better with each time. In fact, all it did was worsen. She realised by now that the best way was to simply refrain from hearing his name. So she didn't. And Serena just got to ruin it all.
"See? You winced at his name. You are not fine!"
"I am!" Blair insisted
"You are not!"
"I am! Stop trying to force me!"
With a push on her shoulder from Blair, Serena fell backwards into the fountain.
"Oh my god!" Serena shouted, splashing the water around her, trying to sit up.
"I told you not to force me!" Blair defended.
Serena pushed the wet strands of hair away from her face and glared angrily at Blair.
"I..I need to go." Blair stammered. She then turned on her heels and left, leaving a soaked Serena in the fountain.
