The Doctor sighed as he watched the pair pass; he had gone back in time to see her again just so her face could give him guidance. The two he was watching, were laughing and walking into a fish 'n' chips. When they passed him he hid in the shadows, a paradox would be the last thing he wanted.

The girl was making faces at her friend, while the friend gave a sheepish grin. A familiar, happy grin. That the Doctor knew personally. After all the battles past, present and future. This was the hardest for the Doctor felt with all his heart that he wanted to go out there and hug her one last time...

'Doctor Wake up!' someone whispered in his ear.

'Huh?' he replied sleepily.

'You feel asleep just there, we came in you kind of, I don't know, fainted- you were talking about something. Oh I can't remember and then when I said something about my Aunt having "pretend visions" and the way she went all blurry eyed, you blacked-out. I've been trying to wake you up for an hour now.'

The Doctor grinned, he picked himself up and gave her a hug," Don't worry Rose everyone needs there beauty sleep- I just skipped mine for a couple hundred years."

She giggled, 'Doctor your all wet'.

'How on Gallifrey did that happen?' The Doctor asked.

'When I was trying' to get you up I through a bucket of water over you' Rose beamed.

The Doctor smirked," Rose there's ice in my shirt it feels like I've skidded across an ice sheet belly first- its freezing!'

Rose dusted herself,' I tried everything to get you up, EVERYTHING.'

The Doctor shifted his feet, and then gave her a kiss on the cheek, Rose blushed when he took away the kiss.

'Getting all romantic are we?'

She asked. The Doctor shifted his gaze to hers. They both laughed, and then Rose shrugged it off and said,

'Here Doctor I'll get you something to wear.'

Rose walked off down the many corridors of the TARDIS to find something for him.

'Honestly Rose what would I do without you!'

The Doctor called after her laughing wildly, Rose called back

'Probably have a few dry shirts.'

When Rose was out of hearing distance the doctor sighed and stroked the TARDIS he gave a sharp smile and whispered,

'Let's enjoy it while we can old girl.'
