Gibbs was never one to tell anyone very much information about hardly anything. Actually, the only one he ever kept in the loop was himself. His second in command, Tony, hardly knew the man. That's why he never in his life believed he'd be in the situation he's was in now. Because right now he was being pressed up ageist the wall of Gibbs "conference room", lips pressed together in a soft unison. As a matter of a fact, his mind was racing over one thousand miles an hour of 'he feels the same way'.
What Tony didn't know was, was that Gibbs was thinking the same thing. Mind racing, heart beating in an uncontrollable dance. Yet, even if he was doubting everything the man he had pinned was thinking, he didn't doubt to himself that it felt right. It felt right to finally show his hidden feelings. It felt right to be kissing him, to be pressed up ageist him. Everything just clicked. He just hoped Tony felt the same way.
Gibbs slowly pushed away, savoring every second before the time when they would look each other in the eyes and then he would get punched in the gut. Then from there everything would go down, like he would leave the team, leave him. Tony didn't know how much it would hurt him if he did that.
Yet, this was not the case. Tony looked him in the eye's, green meeting the dark blue orbs. They just looked, slowly in taking breaths and searching for something. Looking for anything, anything to tell each other that this was not a dream. That this wasn't some sick joke. And they both knew, it wasn't.
This was happening, this was real. What they felt, what they did. They knew, it was right. "I never knew….", whispered Tony, a small smile slowly tugging at the corner of his mouth.
Gibbs slowly closed his eyes and whispered in Tony's ear, "You never asked…"
