I just realized today...Christmas Eve in the HBP is a full moon. That is the night, in Chapter 16, that Lupin stays at the Weasley's house for Holiday celebration. So why is Lupin at the Weasleys when he is supposed to be a werewolf?

Just a thought...now for the story;

The moon had always been a thing of wonder and mystery when she was younger. Many a night was spent with her father's Muggle telescope, seeking out the craters and mountains in that world up in the sky.

Now, when she looked up at the shining sphere, it reminded her of the pain that came with it. The moon was the reason for her depression and loneliness last year. It still caused grief when it was fully round and seemed to control every aspect of her life.

Through the floor below her, in the basement of her parent's house, she could hear her husband's whimpers as the moon became full and transformed him. She tried to block out the noise, tried to ignore the light shining from the sky into her room.

It was no use, there would be no sleep tonight. The orb was at it's largest and had no mercy for werewolves. Not even Remus Lupin, who above all didn't deserve the fate thrust upon him.

She stole one last glance up at the sky and cursed the moon.
