The only truth I had ever known about life was that when you truly loved someone, everyone and everything else seemed insignificant, but no longer was that even true. The only people I had ever loved had been my parents Charlie and Renee, and my sister Alice. Every guy I had ever liked had never mattered until he came along.
I remember it perfectly. It was a cool summer day in the small town of Forks. Alice and I had gone back-to-school shopping, and then I saw him. Alice and I had gone into some dress store for dresses for the back to school dance. When we came out he was with his friends. He was wearing a tight black shirt that complemented his tan skin perfectly, his muscled arms being the focal point. He smiled at us and then his friend said something and he quickly winked and turned to jab his friend in the ribs. That was the first day I felt it, something more than just love, it was almost like I had to be with him, almost as if gravity was pulling us toward eachother.
