Prologue
A war has begun in Westeros, a terrible one, with such scope that now all its kingdoms seem to be faced, alliances and hostilities are exchanged quicker than the wind. Five kings are claiming the crown, behind them a horde of people thirsty for vengeance and blind among their own savageness.
Normally we let the forest carry the stories to its inside, as if it was a sad lullaby, we hear but not listen and the words are lost forever in the cosmos labyrinth. The problems of the other worlds don't concern us, here in Ulthos, everyone devote their entire life to the search of knowledge and to our inner evolution; nonetheless curiosity it's one of our biggest qualities but also our worst fault. So, when the news where listened by the Council of Wisemans they decided that it was time to send and observer because it has passed a lot of time since the last one and because wars always destroys a lot of wisdom and our primordial mission as said is to keep it.
They odds decided that I should be the chosen one. Menterra is one of the founder houses, and the first to dominate the knowledge of Alchemy; our family has always been observers when it came the time, and traditions are not easily broken. Of course, this is a unique opportunity for me; I have never been farther than the Shadow Lands, so going to Westeros will fulfill my need of adventure at least for a while. The master said that we are going to be sailing non-stop until we arrive in the Seven Kingdoms, which will be very hard for me because my guardian element is Earth. In Ulthos we are made by Aether and blood, but we can be associated with one of the classical four elements too depending of your personal status.
While this time aboard I started studying the conflict situation; my aim is to make a good alliance with the victor, Westeros seems to be a very rich continent with varied ecosystems, they can provide us raw materials and in return we will share our wisdom. So I will need to make good allies and play my carts well. The actual King on the Iron Throne doesn't seem a good option though, I wouldn't surprise myself if he hasn't read a book in his life; the other two Baratheon maybe can be but I don't see a leader in any of them; then the Stark, King in the North, he has never lost a battle although is very young and I can feel his brave aura through the stories that wind carries.
