"Nikki please listen" Harry called out to his friend as he rushed through the double doors of the lab behind her "Nikki!"
"Why Harry?" Nikki shouted as she spun around to look at the man behind her "Why didn't you tell me? I'm your best friend for god's sake"
'You're much more than that' Harry thought and shook his head "I'm sorry I didn't tell you"
"You were going to America and you didn't even think to inform me?" Nikki scoffed and shook her head "What? Did you suddenly forget?"
"No Nikki" Harry said quietly "I wasn't going to tell you because I'm not going"
"Why not? You might as well, you made it very clear that you…."
"I'm not going" Harry shouted "Because I love you"
Nikki's face showed nothing but shock as this registered in her mind and a sad smile made it's way onto Harry's face as he looked away from her and shook his head, sniffing slightly before turning back to her.
"I have fallen in love with you Nikki" Harry whispered "That's why I'm not going to America"
"That's not funny" Nikki choked out and her eyes filled with tears which she tried to blink away "That's not bloody funny!" she practically screamed the last part and Harry walked towards her swiftly and placed his hands on the top of her arms, holding her firmly.
"Nikki Alexander I love you!" Harry told her loudly and leant down to give her a quick but passionate kiss on the lips before drawing back his eyes filled with tears "and I'm sorry if you don't feel the same way but I do" he finished his sentence in a whisper and looked down at Nikki for her reaction.
"Harry" Nikki started, her voice choked and gave him a small smile that made his heart jump happily "I…um…I love you too" she whispered, a slight blush and a small smile on her face.
Harry didn't think he had ever been so happy in his life and leant down to kiss the woman in front of him, both of them forgetting they were in the middle of the lab. A cough from behind Harry brought them back to reality and they broke away from each other quickly and sprung apart to see who it was. They saw an amused looking Leo standing holding a manila folder, he was shaking his head but had a smile on his face.
"Well now you have that sorted out can I have some work done please?" he asked and all Harry and Nikki could do was blush.
Yes..well...this came to me during a school trip...have no idea why! :D
Might add another oneshot tomorrow morning because I have study leave before my German oral *whimpers*...and may add one to cheer me up. ;)
