Her body felt lighter than it had in years as she saw the world around her dissolve into a gossamer golden glow. All save for a familiar, comforting form. Her expression softened as she closed the distance between the two of them. It was a natural progression just as a seed sprouts and the sun rises. An embrace, fingers intertwined, and a kiss. It was the cement for what needed no oration. And as the glow faded and the ethereal plains of the spirit world sprouted below their feet, they leaned into each other, enjoying their selves in unbroken silence.

Their complete adoration of each other was finally broken by a soft sigh of content from Korra. She recognized where they stood from her conversation with Kuvira. Spirits gathered around the new portal, leaving and entering, ignoring the two humans amidst their numbers. "So this is the Spirit World," Asami breathed in, the air smelling sweeter, otherworldly. "It's so beautiful."

"And this is just the entrance. Wait until you see the giant lilypads and try some of Iroh's tea. There's also dragons and I could show you Vaatu's final resting place if you'd like. It's not a pleasant sightseeing spot, but I know you really missed out on that fight. That's not even counting the areas I haven't seen. I say we skip the library, though."

"Slow down," Asami laughed. "There'll be plenty of time to see everything."

"I know, I'm just so excited to get started." Korra smiled earnestly. They reached for each other's hands, clasping them as they walked onward together.
