Disclaimer: Hey guys! I would thank my fans in the Harry Potter books if I owned them but sadly, I don't so I'll just thank you now – thanks! You guys rock.

Author's Note: I'm back! I've just finished my exams for the summer and decided to write this up quickly for you. I couldn't sleep until I wrote the idea down somewhere so I did. This is what I could wrote when I finally found the piece of paper.

Molly Weasley looked over everyone in the kitchen of Grimmauld Place. The meeting had just finished, it had been useless really. There was no news and no attacks since the last meeting. Most people had already left.

Her eyes rested on Severus Snape, who was pouring himself a glass of water from the tap.

"What's up Snivellus? Can't afford water with you salary?"

"Fuck off, Black. I'm not in the mood for you," Snape drank his water in one go.

Molly frowned. They were at each others throats even more than usual ever since Sirius was rescued from the Veil. But lately Snape didn't seem to be putting up a fight with him at all.

"Whatever," Sirius muttered.

"What's up?" Tonks asked Sirius as she walked back into the kitchen.

"Not much. Snivellus is just being his usual slimy self," Sirius snorted.

Snape slammed his glass down on the counter and stormed out.

"What's got in his knickers?" Sirius asked, amused.

Molly frowned again.

A week later Molly was cleaning the house after another fruitless meeting. She was bringing some old books into the spare study when she saw someone laying on the couch, snoring softly. She moved closer only to find that it was Snape asleep.

She touched his arm lightly. "Severus," she whispered.

"Hmm?" he replied sleepily. Then his eyes opened. "Molly?"

"You were asleep," Molly smiled.

"Oh, I was thinking. I must have dosed off."

"What's wrong?"

"What? Nothing is wrong."

"Severus!" she warned. "I know there's something wrong. You've been acting odd for two weeks."

Severus sighed. "You know Frank Casey?"

"Yes. He was the guy who moved to Africa two weeks ago," then her mouth made an 'o'. "What? Did he do something to you?"

"No. not exactly. Er... I don't really want to talk about it."

"Severus," Molly pressed her lips together in a tight line.

He knew she wouldn't it go until he told her. She would always keep a secret and she was always brilliant at making him feel better. He waited for the older woman to sit down next to him. "Okay… Well, we were together. I thought it was exclusive. He had been seeing other people aside from me. I… I just misunderstood our relationship."

"So you're hurting, right?" Molly patted his arm. "Did you love him?"

"I thought it was a serious relationship, you know?"

"I know, I know. Did you love him?" she asked softly.

"I don't know really. I suppose I loved the security of a having partner, someone to share my time with… I… actually, I don't think I really loved Frank himself."

"Well there you have it. He should be easy to get over. Any man not serious about a relationship isn't worth the hassle."

Severus gave Molly a half smile. "Thanks, Molly."

"Any time." She gave Severus a tight hug which he didn't really resist.

Molly stood up and straightened her apron. "Besides, this gives you a chance to find another man, now that you're free."

Severus snorted. "Nobody knew about us and it's not like I was getting floods of proposals."

"You never know, Severus. An offer might come sooner than you think."

With that she walked out of the room with a smirk on her face, leaving a very confused but much happier Severus Snape behind.
