A poem inspired by the fact that the moon orbits the Earth.
Two lovers
Of royal lineage
Living on separate worlds
But close enough
Circling one another
Spinning and rotating
In eternal orbit
As though they are dancing
The Lunar princess
Sensationally silver
Outfit so perfectly pearl
Iris' so alluringly azure
The Earthen prince
A golden gentlemen
Getup so boldly black
Eyes so courageously cobalt
Having entered into this partnership
Separation seems absurd
So when they have no choice in the matter
They anxiously tap their feet
Yearning to be near each other
They wait for the opportunity
To be with their other half
And once again move and sway
