Hiccups
Jackie was awakened by odd sounds coming out of Nora's nursery, she was alarmed at first until she realized what the noises were, baby Nora had the hiccups.
Jackie kicked the covers off her legs and then started to get out of bed and she nearly screamed when she realized she wasn't alone, sometime during the night without Jackie noticing Sloan had crawled into bed with her. The little boy was fast asleep and he must have been cold because the comforter was pulled all the way up to his neck.
Jackie smiled and then got out of bed to go tend to the baby.
She walked into the baby's nursery and went over to her crib.
Nora was awake but not crying, Jackie picked her up and carried her over to the rocking chair in the corner.
Nora let out an annoyed sounding little squeak.
"I'm sorry sweetheart, hiccups are so aggravating aren't they?" Jackie cooed.
She set the baby upright on her lap and within just a couple minutes Nora's hiccups subsided.
"Is that better?" Jackie asked her softly as she laid a comforting kiss on the infant's forehead.
Jackie rocked her for several minutes until the infant's eyes closed.
She held her for a bit longer just to make sure she was asleep before she laid her back down in her crib.
She smiled at the infant before going back to the master bedroom.
Nora was a great baby and she was such a blessing to their family!
