A figure runs down the hallway in boy knee pants, a baggy black billowy shirt with elbow length sleeves, and a black paperboy cap. The figure almost collided with a young boy with fire red hair and quickly apoligized, but kept running.
"Rose!," the figure yelled at a young woman with hip length raven hair and a showing icy blue eye.
"What's wrong?" Rose walked over to the figure, her black and red dress swishing around her knees.
"It's offical! They're here, and they know we're here! We have to keep moving. I've sent a letter, and we'll arrive at the destination in a few days."
Rose gazed at the figure nervously and pulled the figure gently around a corner. "So we only have a day to leave?"
"I arranged for us to leave tonight.."
Rose looked the figure in her showing metallic green eye, "It's ok Lily. We'll be safe."
Lily took off the paperboy cap and the part of her black hair that wasn't pulled up fell down and the lower layers of her hair fell to her waist. "I hope so sister."
"So. Where are we heading?,"Rose began walking and Lily quickly pushed her hair back into the cap, even though it was obvious she was a female.
"Our dear little cousins house."
"What? We just found out within the past few years he was even alive, what makes you think he'll be able to help us?"
Lily bit her lip "I don't know..maybe hope? Maybe I just want to see the old mansion again."
Rose sighed," Oh well..we might at well head that way."
"Rose?" "Yes?" "...I'm so sorry..for getting you in this mess."
Rose smiled at her little sister, "We're in this together..good or bad."
Sebastian walked into the room, holding a silver tray with cake, tea, and an open envolope. Sebastian set down the silver tray and Ciel saw the envolope. "What is that?"
"A notice."
"From the Queen?"
"No. It seems to be from a relative of yours that plans on visiting you. I've already arranged two well sized rooms next to each other."
Ciel picked up the letter, "Good."
Dear Ciel,
I hope you remember us. I have heard you are doing well for yourself and we decided to stay for a bit to become reattatched. Rose hopes to see you soon, and we can't wait to see our little cousin again. I'm excited. Is there still roses and lilies growing next to each other in that little corner of the gardens? I hope so. It'd be nice to see that time can't change everything. Either way, I hope to see you soon Ciel Phantomhive.
Signed with lots of love from,
Lily.
"I wasn't aware you had cousins my lord." Sebastian stated.
"They're distant cousins. My grandfathers brother married and had children, and their children had my distant cousins. Lily and Rose. Rose is by now no doubt in her early to mid-20's while Lily is only in her late teens or early 20's. Every once in awhile their parents would visit mother and father and we'd play together while they talked." Ciel paused and stood up to walk to the windows.
"One day we got a letter saying that their parents would no longer be able to visit and I have only seen them once since. And it was not a personal sighting of them."
"What do you mean?"
"I found a drawing of them from a elder artist. He drew them so well, but he died before he finished the piece and it was burned with his studio."
"Ahh. So we'll be having company?"
"Yes."
"Very well, my lord."
