My first FanFic EVA!! Yep yep yep! Well, it's a one shot buuut oh well I might do a chapter fic later, but for now this is good. The charries are both out of character I know...but I have learned that you sorta have to do that or else you would probably be following the manga and they wouldn't get together...ever. Am I right?? I am a KuroFai fangirl forever and BEYOND! It boy/boy. Don't like it go read somthing else. Thank you!

Night took Outo in it's clutches and the full luminecent moon stood out against the black velvet. A wind blew the sakura peltals in the air, shimmering in the bright moon's light. There was hardly a sound in the night, except for the odd clater of swords and other various weapons fighting the deadly Oni's.

Though people fought for their lives against the Onis, The Cat's Eye was silent, only a single light luminating a single window. Syaoran and Sakura had done their share with the closing chores and were now sleeping peacefully in their beds. Even Mokona, though she didn't do a thing too help, slept with the princess in a peaceful slumber, murmuring something about Chocolate Fondant and Sakura's feathers.

The blond haired wizard, however, was not peaceful nor asleep. He paced in front of the door. Well, he wasn't exactly pacing he was...sweeping the same line in front of the door a billion times. Yes, that's it. He wasn't worried about a certain raven haired ninja that was supposed to have returned several hours ago. No, not at all! He wasn't worried! Nope, nope nope! He tried to tell himself this over and over again, but, as the ticking of a clock seemed to grow louder through the house, he found his pace so much faster and clutching the broom so tightly his knuckles were going a nasty red color.

Fai glanced at the door for the hundredth time that minute then continued his frantic sweeping. This continued on for an hour before the ninja finally made his appearance, holding two sacks of flour and sugar over his shoulder. He walked into the poorly lit Cafe to find Fai standing in front of the door, holding a broom so hard it looked like it hurt and a very frantic and worried expression on his features.

Kurogane looked at him confused, tilting his head just a bit as the noticeably upset magician took his own appearance in. His long coat was in tatters and his arm was wrapped in a very poor bandage. Sweat beads fell from his forehead as if he ran a long distance, which was confirmed by the red tinge on his cheeks and his uneven breathing. For a very fit ninja it takes a lot of running to get so out of breath like that.

"Kuro-tan! What happened!" Fai said softly, his voice hardly audible and not moving a step. His grip on the broom got tighter as he scanned the ninja now for blood. Besides the red stained cloth on his arm there was no sign of any of the crimson liquid.

"An Oni found me without a sword while I was out getting your stuff. I will never go on another late night erran for you again!" Kurogane growled, walking over to the counter to drop the sugar and flour on it. He spun around to find the blond hadn't moved, but still looked at the door with wide eyes. "Mage?"

Fai shook his mop of hair, putting his mask up in the process and turned to smile at crimson eyed man. "Silly Kuro-woof, I asked you when the sun was still out!" Fai smiled, his voice still slightly strained.

Kurogane growled and threw his jacket on the couch before staring at Fai intently. The mage looked at the ground, letting his bangs block his eyes from veiw. Kurgoane gasped almost silently and walked towards the blond. "Hey, mage, are you alright?" He muttered, looking down at Fai's hair.

Fai smiled and looked up at the ninja. He began to reach out to Kurogane but just let his arms go limp at his sides instead. "Oh, nothing." He whispered and walked around Kurogane, still holding the broom in his hands. "Nothing Kuro-chii, I'm fine." He said softly as he past the taller of the two.

He stopped abruptly as a large hand curled around his arm. "Fai..." The deep voice whispered softly behind him. Fai's sapphire eyes widened as he heard the tenderness behind the voice. He shook the hand off and turned around to face him. This time he managed to reach out to take hold of the wounded arm. He took it in both hands and unwrapped the banage to show 2 deep, long scratches. Fai looked up at Kurogane, not a smile on his face for once before bringing the arm up to his lips and kissed it softly.

Kurogane's face went scarlet but didn't pull his arm back. "What's the matter Fai?" The ninja asked softly. His crimson eyes found sapphire before sighing softly. Fai remained silent and began to bandage up his wound. He dropped the wounded arm before turning and walking towards the stairs.

"Could you finish closing up Kuro-tee?" He called as he walked up the stairs and towards his room.

Kurogane sighed and scurried around the Cafe and locked everything and turned the single remaining light off. He did a quick glance around the room before walking up the stairs towards his own room. He paused as he past Fai's, listening for any noise. He heard a soft breathing and something of a whimper. A sigh escaped him as he continued towards his room to lie down for the night.

The minutes ticked by like hours as he lay in bed. His eyes clamped shut with one arm across them as if trying to block a light that wasn't there. His other hand lay on his stomach, his fingers running across three long gashes. 'Stupid Oni.' He muttered and tossed over, opening his eyes as he looked across the empty room. He was so used to see another bed and a certain blond haired mage occupying when he looked over. Of all the times they travelled to different worlds almost always they either had to share a bed or a room. He had to admit; he had become used to it...enjoyed it, even, when someone said he'd have to sleep in the same room as that damn mage.

He sighed deeply. That damn mage...why did he make his heart beat quicken, make his head so thick with thoughts of him it was hard to think. The mage...Fai. What was going on with Fai, he seemed so odd, so...upset! He held his breath for a moment as he listened for noises in the room beside him. Sure enough he heard soft muffled sobs from his left.

He threw his legs over the edge and sat up, staring at the ground. He probably wouldn't be able to sleep untill he made sure the mage was alright. He sighed again yet he wasn't angry or exasperated. He seemed more...resigned as he trudged out of the room, not even daring to look at the clock to see how late it was.

He stood before Fai's door, his fist mere inches from the wooden surface. He listened again, to the quick breathing and the half-suppressed sobs. His eyes softened as he looked at the ground, tapping his fist on the door lightly before walking in. "Mage..." He murmured, walking into the dimly lit room.

Fai sat at the opposite wall, ignoring the fluffy bed completely, and cradled his knees to his chest. When Kurogane had walked in the magician had had his head on his knees, shaking rather noticeably. Now he stared at the ninja with a tear streaked face and such a cute surprised expression on his saddened face. "Kuro..sama." He murmured yet not moving an inch.

Kurogane walked towards the magician and knelt before him, staring into his wet sapphire eyes. "Fai..." He murmured and whipped away a tear that attempted to roll down Fai's cheek. He tilted his head slightly as he watched the sapphire pools widen. It was rare when Kurogane called Fai by his name, infact Kurogane didn't think he ever called him by it.

Fai stared at the ninja, waiting as he tried to suppress his shock. He felt the Kurogane's fingers swipe his cheek again as he took more tears away. If he wasn't caught crying he would have smiled and probably blamed the tears on allergies or something. No, he was caught so he didn't even attempt to put up his mask. What was the use? Kurogane would see right through it anyways.

"What do you want Kuro-tan? Why have you come here?" He murmured, tearing his unblinking gaze from Kurogane and laid his head on his knees.

"Why are you crying? What's the reason for this?" He asked, holding out two wet finger tips to the mage. His eyes softened slightly, now that Fai wasn't looking at them as he lowered himself to a knee.

"Answer me first." The blond replied, his voice flat and emotionless. Kurogane was slightly shocked by this, usually Fai tried to fake happiness. Maybe something was getting through to him after all?

Kurgane sighed, however, knowing he wouldn't get answers without giving any. "I've come to see why you were so upset before. There was really no reason." He murmured, only loud enough for Fai to hear, and he still had to strain his ears to get everything.

"There was every reason too." He said softly, turning his eyes back to Kurogane. "You were hurt because of me. Because I needed that damn sugar! If it weren't for me you wouldn't have been hurt." He said clearly, his eyes half lidded and he pillowed his chin with his palms.

He watched as Kurogane shook his head slightly, a soft 'tch' came from him and then somthing he did suspect. Kurogane wrapped his arms around Fai and pulled him to his chest, murmuring something about an idiot mage or something. "Fai...I was hurt because of my own recklessness. I left my blade here, that's why I got hit." He stroked his hand through Fai's blond hair, something he has, strangely, been wanting to do for a while.

"Kuro-kichii?" Fai asked, looking up at the ninja. "Why are you-" But he was stopped when Kurogane lifted his chin up so he could look directly in the mage's eyes.

"Shut up." He murmured and crushed his lips tenderly against the mage's. Fai was bewildered by how soft and gentle someone like Kurogane could kiss, but he just relaxed and deepened it. He smiled slightly against the kiss and felt Kurogane's tongue lick his own lips as an entrance request. The mage let out a little moan and allowed the mighty ninja to tenderly move around expertly in his mouth. When the need for air arose the broke a part, panting slightly as they looked at each other.

"Where'd that come from." Fai asked, noticing that he had his arms around the ninjas neck now, and felt two strong hands clamped around his skinny waste.

"Shut up." Kurogane growled and kissed him again, letting out a soft moan as they kissed passionately. How odd this day was, but some how it ended just perfectly with the skinny, damn mage in his arms.
