Blair took a deep breath and knocked on the door. There was never going to be a right time for this conversion, she knew that. Within seconds the door swung open to reveal Chuck Bass, a glass of vodka in one hand. "Blair?" he was surprised to see her, of course he was she hadn't talked to him since the accident.
"I have to tell you something." she said, already fighting back the tears. "Can I come in?"
Chuck nodded and stepped out of the way. Blair walked into the suit and faced Chuck. "Don't hate me." she whispered.
Chuck walked over to her, it was clear that he was unaware of what she was talking about, he could never hate her. "What's wrong?" he could see she was holding in tears. "Is it because you haven't talked to me since the accident? If it is, I don't care about that."
She was shaking her head before he was finished. "It's about my baby." the tears were slowly falling as she touched her empty stomach.
Chuck looked from her face to her hands and back again. "What is it?" he asked again.
She put her head down and sobbed quietly. "I should have told you sooner." she glanced up at him, "I was going to tell you that night, the night of the accident." she shook her head slowly, tears filling. "It wasn't Louis's" The moment those words left her mouth she broke down. He body shaking with sobs.
Chuck's heart dropped, was she telling him it was his baby? He went to speak, but she cut him off. "I-I thought that..." she took a breath and started again, holding in a sob. "I thought it would be easier for everyone if it... I'm so sorry."
Her body was shaking again and Chuck couldn't see her like this. He wrapped his arms tightly around her, "It's okay, Blair. It's okay." he whispered, now fighting back his own tears.
She shook her head, "But it's not." she broke away, but his hands were still on her sides. "I lied to you, I lied to everyone." She looked away from him in shame, "I wouldn't blame you if you hated me."
"Blair Waldorf, I could never hate you. It hurts me that you would ever think I could. I love you no matter what. Nothing could make me stop."
"It was your baby, Chuck. Our baby. You should have known that. I had no right to keep that from you. And now..." tears were falling again.
Chuck reached up and brushed them away, "It's okay. I forgive you. You don't have to stay with him now, we can be together. We can be happy."
She pulled away from him, walking toward the door. "We can't be together." she made a pact with God, one she couldn't break. "I can't lose you, Chuck. Please know that I'm doing this for you. I'll always love you. Remember that."
She ran out of his suit before he could try to stop her. She ran out to the car she had waiting for her and left. It was the only way to save him.
