It was midnight. A black canvas covered the night sky, lights twinkling magically. Team 7's camp was set up just below the trees giving the area a calm settlement. The whole area was silent, only the breath of the sleeping was heard.

Except not all were sleeping.

Sasuke still was wide awake, laying buried underneath the numerous blankets, duvets and pillows he had brought. It's not like he wasn't tired – Sasuke was absolutely knackered – his mind was just filled with so many thought it was incredibly difficult to drift off.

Sasuke thought about his goals, the past and the the future. He thought about his family and the current mission, but most of his mind were occupied with thoughts of a certain blond member of his squad that just happened to be sleeping beside him.

Naruto.

His face was completely relaxed and Sasuke couldn't help smiling at the cute look that pasted across his face, leaving a peaceful facet in its place.

"Sasuke ...?" the black haired boy looked completely shocked as the object of his affection sleepily blinked his blue eyes open and yawned, his noses wrinkling.

He sat up, rubbing his eyes. "Sasuke ... were you staring ... at me?"

Sasuke could feel his cheeks heating up at the pure embarrassment of being caught. " ... N-no ... I wasn't ..."

Naruto stared curiously at the blushing Uchiha across from him. He would never admit it out loud – he even had trouble admitting it in his head – he always thought Sasuke looked cute when he blushed, something he'd been doing a lot recently.

Naruto felt himself blush at the thought and cleared his throat. "Well ... if your sure ..."

He laid back down and rolled over, pulling the blankets closer to his neck. He heard shuffling and gravel crunching behind him before he felt a large warm hand on his back and he saw the most beautiful thing he'd ever seen.

Sasuke.

Blue eyes widened as he met the dark -almost black – gaze. What surprised him most the fact that instead of the usual steel, cold stare, it was loving, caring and adoring.

Sasuke knew he should stop , but he couldn't help himself. He ran his hand through the soft blond hair and buried his face into it, inhaling deeply.

"... Naruto ..." Sasuke breathed in said boys ear, causing him to shiver. He pulled back and met Naruto's gaze for a millisecond before his lips pressed against the blond boy's.

Naruto froze at the feeling. He should push him away, he knew that, but ... he didn't want to. He stayed still, enjoying the sensation of Sasuke's lips moving against his own, until the feeling disappeared.

Naruto whimpered before his hands up and latching them in Sasuke's dark coal coloured hair.

Sasuke's eyes widened in shock as he touched Naruto's lips again. He moaned quietly at the feeling and his hands gripped the blond hair as if it was a life support, their bodies trying to close a gap that was non-existent. When they finally pulled apart, both chests were heaving; their breath ragged.

"Sasuke ..." Naruto hesitated.

"What is it?" Sasuke whispered, a goofy smile across his face.

"... I love you ..." Naruto whispered.

Sasuke grinned and kissed the boys forehead gently.

"I love you too ..."
