So, I just thought about a new Hey Arnold story, and while this will lean towards an Arnda-like scenario, it's not going to be the focus of the story. This is more of kids being kids and overactive imaginations at work! So, expect some fun with this story! Anyway, enjoy!

It all started on a hot summer day in the park. Two familiar kids were sitting down in the shade, having some ice cream together when their attention turned to the clouds passing by. In other words, a normal, relaxing day for Arnold Shortman and Rhonda Wellington Lloyd, who have both agreed to hang out with each other today. As the two of them were getting comfortable watching the clouds and eating their ice cream, both of them observed the shapes and patterns of each cloud that passed by.

"You know, they say that no cloud is different each time." Arnold, the football headed kid pointed out as he saw a cloud pass by.

"Oh, I certainly have to agree, Arnold. My thing may be fashions of today, but sometimes, it just pays good to kick back and relax, and forget all the troubles surrounding the world..." Rhonda, a raven haired girl in a fashionable red t-shirt and black skirt, smiled as she finished up the last of her chocolate fudge bar. "What do you see when you look at the clouds, Arnold?"

The football headed kid turned towards the girl before responding, "Well, sometimes I see a lot of daring adventurers on a search for a treasure... I see pirates sailing on a ship, looking for their next adventure... and I see the spotlights of Broadway, shining on a singer about to sing. Why, what do you see?"

Rhonda blinked twice at Arnold's revelations before turning back towards the clouds, then at Arnold. She then looked back towards the clouds as she squinted a bit. "I was going to say I imagine some cute animals, but your visions are more... creative."

"I guess you could say that..." Arnold laughed a bit.

Rhonda smiled a little as the two kept kept watching the clouds go by. Rhonda then looked up and noticed a different cloud as she giggled. "I think that cloud over there sort of looks like a dragon, doesn't it?"

Arnold looked over at the cloud formation and squinted. "You know, I believe it does. He sort of looks like he's carrying a bucket."

"Oh?" Rhonda said as she turned her head to see the cloud formation. "OH! I suppose he does! What do you think the bucket is filled with?"

"Maybe water from that well over there." Arnold said as he used his hand to point out a nearby cloud that seemed to resemble a well.

"Good eye." Rhonda laughed a bit as the two kept watch. After a couple of minutes, Rhonda looked over to Arnold. 'Hey Arnold?"

"Yes, Rhonda?" Arnold raised an eyebrow.

"Where do you suppose all these clouds come from?" Rhonda asked.

"You know, I once asked my Grandpa that very question. He says it comes from a cloud machine in the sky when the air is warm or cold." Arnold said as he turned his head towards his girlfriend.

"Do you honestly believe him?" Rhonda asked with a raise of her eyebrow.

"No, but I know the real answer is more scientific than that. Phoebe would probably know the real answer." Arnold said. "Still, it would be nice to imagine that sort of possibility, isn't it?"

"Hmmm... I suppose you have a point." Rhonda sighed as she kept looking at the sky. She then took a quick glance at her watch and yelped. "My goodness, is it already three o'clock? I need to get back home as quick as possible!"

"Oh! Do you want me to walk you home?" Arnold asked as he and Rhonda got up.

"That would be wonderful. Thank you. I just promised Mommy and Daddy that I should be back by four. We're attending a play tonight at the local theater, you see!" Rhonda said as both kids were shaking off the grass from their shirts.

"All right, I suppose I need to get going as well. As soon as I drop you off, I need to head straight home myself." Arnold said as he took Rhonda's hand. "Allow me."

Rhonda giggled as the two of them started to head off. Little unknown to the two of them, as they started to walk off, up in the sky, grey clouds started to form around... normally, it was normal weather in this town, but for some kids, sometimes weather just had an odd way...

Later that night, as Arnold was getting ready for bed, he couldn't help but have his radio on for the weather report. The radio then blared out, "And for the weather tonight, we'll have a large thunderstorm, but it'll let up tomorrow morning, with a mostly cloudy day. But citizens are advised to be careful when wandering the streets for cautionary wind."

Arnold gave a quick nod as he switched off the radio. Around that time, his grandfather poked his head out from behind the door as Phil called out, "Knock knock, Shortman!"

"Hey, Grandpa." Arnold said as Phil walked up with a glass of orange juice.

"Thought maybe you'd like a quick drink before bed." Phil said as he offered Arnold the juice. As Arnold took the juice and took a sip, Phil looked outside at the menacing clouds up above. "Looks like it's going to be a big storm tonight."

"Yeah, but at least the storm is only through the night. Probably won't interfere with tomorrow." Arnold said. "My friends all agreed we'd meet up at Gerald Field tomorrow morning."

"Going out for rides at Dinoland?" Phil took a guess.

"Actually, weather pending, we may just as well go for a walk about at the aquarium." Arnold said. "We haven't planned it out yet, but I'm sure that we'll have a lot of fun tomorrow."

Phil smirked as he said, "Well, don't let an old man like me stop ya. Though you and your friends better be cautionary, Arnold. What with weather being like what it is, you may probably try to stay indoors."

Arnold scoffed a bit as he gave a smile, giving Phil the empty glass back. "I'm sure the weather will be fine. Call it an optimistic thought."

"Well... if things do happen the way they do, you and your friends are all welcome inside! One more thing before you sleep." Phil said as he was about to turn around.

"What's that?" Arnold raised an eyebrow.

"Try not to eat raspberries before bed. You never know when you have the urge." Phil laughed a bit.

Arnold rolled his eyes, but gave a quick smile. "Good night, Grandpa."

And with that, the lights were off and Arnold went off to slumber for the night.

As the night went on, the storm came in as heavy rain drops fell on the sleepy town, not even the trees in the parks were spared from the heavy downpour. A birds nest nestled on a nearby tree was shaking wearily as a mother bird was protecting her recently hatched newborns from the nest... but the winds kept going worse and worse as an eggshell from the nest fell out of the nest and started to follow the wind drafts.

Normally, an eggshell would just fall straight to the ground, but thanks to the strong winds, this eggshell found itself floating out of the park and out into the empty streets, where it started to blow in all directions. Where that eggshell went, nobody saw, so nobody knew. Eventually, as soon as the winds had calmed down, it landed on some grass that wasn't in the park, but was present in a field...

And with that, the first chapter of this story is complete! How did you guys like it? And don't worry, this set-up is just going to get really grand from here! How will Arnold and his friends go about their day tomorrow? Tune in next time to find out! Anyway, read, review, criticize and suggest, folks!
