My Melody To You
Sequel to Ransom My Heart
One Shot
Kelsi headed towards her usual 7.30am jaunt, the music room but as she headed down the corridor, she could hear a sweet melody coming from the music room.
Your fingers brush the ivory.
Making sweet, sweet melodies.
I hear them forever in my dreams.
"Ugh," groaned Ryan, throwing his pencil at the piano stand.
"You ok?" asked Kelsi, coming into the room.
"I was trying my hand at song writing and it's not going to well," sighed Ryan.
"Well the melody sounded awesome," smiled Kelsi, dropping her bag and sitting next to him. "Can I hear it?" she asked.
Ryan played the melody through once more.
"Ryan that's amazing," she whispered.
"Nah, it's got nothing on your talents," he sighed.
"Don't doubt yourself," smiled Kelsi. "It was good," she praised. "How long did it take you to write that music?" she asked.
"I've been here since 7.00am," sighed Ryan, picking up the pencil.
"Half an hour and you have a full composition. Ryan that's brilliant," smiled Kelsi. "It takes me days sometimes to make a full melody," said Kelsi.
"It just flowed out of me," said Ryan.
Kelsi smiled. "I know what you mean."
"But the lyrics just aren't coming," he sighed. "I just keep hearing those lines for Music and Lyrics," he added.
"That melody is the attraction and the lyrics are getting to know the person?" asked Kelsi.
Ryan nodded. "There's something I want to say with this song. To someone but the words aren't coming," he sighed.
"Maybe you should just tell them then," suggested Kelsi.
"Maybe," sighed Ryan.
Ryan took a deep breath.
"Let me know how it goes," sighed Kelsi.
"I'm sure you'll know," whispered Ryan.
"What?" asked Kelsi.
"Nothing," said Ryan.
There was silence for a minute.
"Kelsi," said Ryan.
"Yeah?" asked Kelsi, looking up at him.
She suddenly realized how close they are.
"I'm I really like you," whispered Ryan.
"Pardon?" asked Kelsi.
"Never mind," whispered Ryan. chucking the pencil back onto the music stand and getting up.
"Ryan, wait," called Kelsi jumping to her feet, the piano stool falling to the ground.
Ryan turned around.
"I really like you too," she smiled.
"Really?" asked Ryan. "You're not just saying that?" he asked.
"I'm not just saying that," she smiled.
"So, if you like me and I like you?" asked Ryan. "Can I ask who your song was about yesterday?" he asked.
"I think that's obvious now," she smiled. "You."
"Well it was beautiful and it's like nothing I could have done," he smiled.
"It takes time to write a song and you shouldn't push yourself to sprout out phrases," she smiled.
Ryan nodded.
"So what do we do now? asked Kelsi.
"I kiss you," smiled Ryan.
Kelsi felt her breath quicken as Ryan took her hands in his. Despite the fact her hands were encased in Ryan's, they started shaking.
"Ok I'm going to take a wild guess that you have never been kissed before?" queried Ryan.
Kelsi nodded, her head tilted towards the floor and a light blush etching it way up her neck and over her cheeks.
Ryan let go of one of her hands and gently titled her head up to see him.
"Close your eyes and relax," he whispered.
Kelsi nodded, and let her eye lids slip over her eyes. Her hands stopped shaking and she felt Ryan's lips brush hers. Her lips automatically molded to his. Her arms reached up to wrap around his neck and one hand slipped up into his hair as his arms wrapped around her waist.
Moments later, they parted for air.
"Are you sure you haven't kissed before?" asked Ryan.
Kelsi nodded as Ryan leaned down to kiss her again.
The End.
