Jesse St. James appeared on the screen of the phone. She couldn't answer it without tears escaping her eyes. Rachel waited until the phone stopped ringing before reaching over to look at it. After about a minute, a message appeared on the screen. New voicemail. Against her better wishes, the brunette dialed her voicemail and held the phone up to her ear. All she needed to do was press 7 and the message would be deleted like all the ones before it.

'You have one new voice message. First message received at five thirty-two PM.' The automated voice said.

"Rachel, I know you're ignoring my calls but understand that I for some reason that can't be explained other than that I may actually care about you as more than a normal person, it hurt to see you cry." Rachel's thumb headed toward the 7 key as Jesse's voice drifted through the earpiece. "I'll see you at regionals." Click.

'To replay the message, press one. To dele- Your message has been deleted. You have no new messages.' Rachel hung up her phone and put it on the bed, reaching for a tissue as her phone buzzed again. Instead of Jesse's name it was Finn's.

"Hello?" she answered, putting on her best voice.

"I just wanted to make sure that you're okay." Finn said.

"I'm fine. Thank you."

"I'll see you tomorrow, okay?" Rachel nodded before answering Finn.

"Yeah, tomorrow."
