Allo, my darlings! Most of you are probably here because you like my Tales of Vesperia story, Fairy Tales and Brave Vesperia. Some might have never seen my name before and just dropped in to see if what I have is worth your time. I'd like to believe that it is.
For the FTaBV fans, I will say right now that this is Chase's story. Now that we've had that big reveal in my other story, I'm sure plenty of you are curious about how it all started for him.
If you have not read FTaBV, don't worry, it's not necessary to understanding and enjoying this.
Title is a line borrowed from the song "Bring it On" by Steven Curtis Chapman.

PROLOGUE: NOT JUST A SIDE CHARACTER

I never really thought I'd have the chance to tell someone about everything. I mean, everything. Al's been a part of this from the start, so it's not like I'd ever have a reason to tell him. Besides, he's not exactly the best person to confide in since his people don't seem to always get humans and the way we think. Certainly don't see anything wrong with just nabbing some stranger from their home if it suits them. They've been doing that for centuries already.
Ah, right, getting off topic there.
You want to hear the whole story, right? Or at least what I know of it.
So, I should probably start with saying my name is Chase Brown. I know, I've been going by Chase Lyall for a few years now, but it just made some awkward questions easier to answer when I decided to adopt a new name. But I held onto the name Brown for a long time before that.
My parents, Joseph and Anna Brown, they raised me and my sister to help people that need it. "No skin off your nose being a good person," Mom liked to say. Dad would just tell me to suck it up and be a man when no one else wants to.
No offense to Mom, but I think Dad got it right. Being a good person got me into more trouble than I could have imagined. But I don't think helping out fairies and sucking it up when I woke up on Gaia is what my Dad had in mind either.

And so it begins. :D
