AN: I've gotten a break from life and therefore I've gotten the urge to write everything I can and upload everything I haven't, regardless of its quality. Here is one of those said oneshots. I do not own POI.

The library: home to knowledge, secluded places to have "study sessions" with your date, the perfect spot to dive into a new novel, or just the shield to escape from reality for a few hours. And that is just the beginning.

It can be a safe haven to indulge in when life gets a bit too harsh to handle. Libraries don't judge, they only inspire and give you opportunities for knowledge.

And without fail, they always attract the quirky ones.

The librarian smiled to herself as one of her regulars came in. He eagerly ran into the building before remembering the library has to maintain silence or else its grand spell is broken. Granted, she would never shush him but she certainly admired him for realizing the importance of silence.

He always respected the rules of this world with a deep appreciation. Every time he visited the library, it was as though he was visiting the place for the first time. The same look of wonderment would grab hold of his face each time he arrived, and some days she couldn't contain her giggles at how her little regular would choose to explore the library's vast collections.

It was so pleasing to see another inquisitive soul. Someone who knew to respect the knowledge and power books contained, who saw libraries as a safe haven. Although this particular child seemed to have a flair for the facts and non-fiction, judging by the typical genres he checked out, her little regular was willing to jump into any novel that piqued his curiosity.

She even remembered one of the quirkier books he checked out.

"Is that all for today? Looks like a bit of easy reading for you, dear." She did have to admit it was a bit disappointing that all he wanted today was an animal book. Granted, kids love animals so why wouldn't he be interested? However… it did seem a bit of a let-down compared to his normal interests like Stress Fractures in Titanium. The kid did seem like a miniature Einstein that wouldn't be interested in something as simple as the various species of animals. However she wouldn't complain as long as he returns the book.

She was drawn out of her thoughts by her little regular blushing for once at this particular selection. A quiet explanation was uttered but even in a library it was too quiet.

"I'm sorry, I didn't quite catch that?"

"… I just want to impress my dad." Was the mumbled reply.

She felt a little taken aback, now intrigued. However, she did know better than to ask any more questions. Perhaps his father taught Zoology or something? It would explain his studious nature.

"Just remember to return it before the due date!" She never actually had to remind him of that fact as he tended to finish anything he took him rather quickly and with a fervent attitude.

The shy boy nodded as he clutched his new prized possession once more. With a smile and a polite wave he left the building.

"Have a nice day, Miss Librarian!" He whispered before exiting. She merely chuckled at his name for her, another formal quirk of his.

"Now what would his dad need a copy of 'Eastern Birds' for?"

AN: I like making references to previous episodes ^.^

Now if you didn't know, the little boy was Finch 3 And I was rewatching that episode where we briefly see that particular book and then I came up with this

Have a nice day!
