Elephant

"Dervish!" Grubbs yells, staring at the most random thing that could possibly be in the family room of the mansion. Dervish walks up to Grubbs, not noticing the massive thing in the room somehow.

"What is it, Gru-" Dervish begins, but is cut off by a loud trumpet sound. He then glances over and sees the reason Grubbs called him into the room for. An elephant. A random elephant in the middle of the family room.

"Why's it here?" Grubbs asks, nodding to the elephant and looking at Derv expectantly.

"How should I know?" Derv asks in reply. Grubbs rolls his eyes.

"Tabby!" Grubbs calls. Tabby jogs into the room and stops at the sight of the elephant, staring dumbly at it. "Why is there an elephant in here?"

"I dunno," Tabby mutters, not really out of the shock. Grubbs huffs in annoyance and Tabby shakes her head to clear it, looking at him. "Maybe Tobi put it here with some spell or something."

"Why would Tobi put it-" Grubbs starts to ask, but cuts off when the elephant begins to morph into something much more sinister looking. The tusks grow and gain large ridges. Intricate shining purple tattoo patterns form all over its body and it grows about twice as large as it was before. At the same moment, Tabby begins to change into Tobi. Tabby's very confused. This has never happened before. She's only supposed to change once a month, not at random times!

With a hoarse scream, Tobi emerges, blue hair and all. She smirks evilly and jumps onto the elephant to ride it. Tobi starts attacking Derv and Grubbs with random bolts of magic coming from her hands, and the two quickly break out of the shock they were in as this entire process was happening in all of about five to ten seconds.

Dervish dives around the staircase while Grubbs hides behind the couch. They both try to hit Tobi off of her ride, but the elephant is protecting her, and the height difference is too much. Grumbling to himself, Grubbs motions for Derv to distract her, and he does, by firing multiple bolts of magic in no particular direction and mutilating the walls even more than Tobi, so far. Grubbs braces his hands on the back of the couch, aiming his body and standing up quickly. With a large jolt of magic, he propels himself up to Tobi. She doesn't have the time to stop him, and the both tumble to the ground.

Her pet elephant doesn't do anything, because – apparently – it's smart enough to know that stepping on Grubbs would be crushing Tobi as well. The impact makes Tobi dizzy, as her head hits the ground and Grubbs falls on top of her. Any other time, Grubbs would be making some king of sexual joke, but right now, he has to focus.

Derv shots a massive bolt of magic directly over Grubbs and knocks the elephant on its side, and then walks over to watch it and keep it there. Grubbs puts his hand flat against the side of Tobi's head. "Sorry," he mutters, only meaning it because half of this girl is Tabby. Grubbs sends a weak but painful jolt of magic into her head, and it knocks her out before she can call out in pain. Tobi immediately turns back in to Tabby, and the elephant fades into dust that blows away on some non-existent wind.

"All this trouble caused by a girl with a multiple personality disorder and an elephant," Derv complains, rubbing his forehead, and Grubbs snorts.
