To be honest, it was beautiful. The simple stone, the simple cut, the simple band, the simple…everything. He said as he gave it to me that it represented our relationship-simple, true love. But as enchanted by his love as I was, I wasn't stupid. I read past the wince as he said the words, into his agonized eyes. Because our relationship was everything but simple…nothing but complicated.

"I don't really know how this works, and I'm not really good at this kind of stuff," he said as he sank down to one knee."So I'm sorry if this imitates every chick-flick romance crap movie you've ever seen." I gave him a confused look.

"What's going on Jacob?" I said, laughing lightly.

"Please give me a break and don't hurt me," he begged. His eyes were pleading. I raised one eyebrow, and he smirked.

"Leah Madison Clearwater, I love you so, so much. Will youuhummarry me?" he asked nervously, and opened a velvet black box for me to see. There it was. A beautiful ring. His mother's ring. "I know it's not a real nice ring. But it kind of represents us. Our love. So simple, true love, right?"

I couldn't speak. I couldn't find the words to say. I didn't know if this is what I wanted. My knees wobbled, but Jacob caught me before I could fall.

"Leah are you okay?" he asked, his voice barely a whisper in my ear.

"I don't know, Jake," and then it went black.

Andend scene!! Haha! This was kind of a random idea that I had, so just tell me what you think.
