Set after, 'When the Levee Breaks'
Dean's entire world had been built around two rules:
- Follow Dad's orders, no questions.
- Look out for Sammy.
In the end he failed at both.
Laying in a spray of shattered glass, throbbing and hurt and broken, listening to his baby brother's footsteps get softer and softer, Dean knew it. He'd gone to Hell for Sam and it wasn't enough to keep him safe. He'd been pulled out of Hell, and Sam was headed straight for it.
And he couldn't get off the floor to even try and stop it.
End.
