It took her a while to figure out she needed to find him again.

And even longer to bring herself to do it.

It wasn't that she didn't want him, she always had, but it's hard to make oneself believe when it had never occurred to them that it was true.

She called him first, said she'd be in the L.A. area and would love to see him again. Really, she was going for the soul purpose of seeing him, and trying to tell him what he needed to know.

She got on the plane from London to Los Angeles. She'd been working for a big Architecture firm in England for a few years, long enough to give up the need to dream. He'd understand, he didn't want to dream anymore, either.

He picked her up at the airport, smiled, hugged her like old friends. They were, of course. Hopefully not always.

"It's good to see you again, Ariadne."

"You too, Dom."

She stayed for several days, hanging out with his kids, who were more than friendly as she worked up her nerve to make a move. They were great kids, truly raised well. She told him this.

"I can't say I can take credit for much of it, missing the time they needed me most." Was his reply.

"I'm sure you were still a big part of it. You're a good father, Dom. Don't think differently."

He smiled at her then, like he was seeing something new, as though he'd been struck by a revelation he'd known all along.

It was later that night that she cam to ask him something, after the kids were asleep, and it was nearly midnight. She'd opened her mouth, and suddenly he was there, with his lips pressed against hers.

In that moment, she knew she was right. It didn't matter their 12 year age difference, or their different pasts, they were both seeking the same thing, and needed someone to be with who knew what it was like.

When they were together, as they always were after that, they found what they had been looking for: Peace.

Author's Note: In my world of inception, first Ariadne and Arthur would be together, but then they'd break up, because I can never see them working out their differences. In my story "Deflection", Arthur finds an OC of mine that I think is better suited for him. Eames would be with a character from another book series. In another of my stories "The Color Red", I try to show that Cobb and Ariadne were already kinda into eachother, but things got off course until she realized she liked him a while after she and Arthur broke up. I just think that she and Cobb are very similar people, and though not everybody feels that way, I believe that they'd get together. Purely my opinion, though. Please Review! :)
