Summary: Gibbs arrives home after being deployed to find his little Kelly crying in the corner and his not so happy wife in the kitchen.

Mommy's Spoon
Gunnery Sergeant Leroy Jethro Gibbs was glad to home; he'd missed his wife and daughter very much during his deployment and couldn't wait to have them in his arms again. He opened the front door expecting his seven year old to coming flying at him; instead he found her standing nose in the corner. 'Oh no, wonder what she's done this time' he thought to himself as he shut the door.
Hearing the door shut, Kelly turned to see who it was, seeing her Daddy she forgot all about the corner, throwing herself into his arms she cried "Daddy, I missed you so, so much" before continuing with "Mommy's a big, big meanie". Gibbs tried to hide his smile "Mommy's a meanie huh?" he asked.
Kelly nodded her hair flying at how vigorously her head moved "aha, she is Daddy" the little girl said, hoping that her Daddy would sympathise with her "Oh, and why's Mommy a meanie?" he asked, guessing that it had something to do with why his daughter had been serving corner time.
"She hitted me with her spoon" the girl exclaimed, before pouting up at him "oh did she? Why would Mommy do something like that?" he asked, trying to get the story out of his little girl, although he doubted he would.
"'Cause she's a meanie, Daddy I told you already" at that moment Shannon walked into the room, her left hand on her hip and a wooden spoon in the other "Kelly Gibbs don't you dare call me a meanie" she scolded before turning to Gibbs "and you Jethro, don't encourage her, she was being naughty and deserved the spanking she got" Shannon snapped at her husband.
"Really, what did she do Shan?" he asked "Your daughter decided that she was all grown up and could go to the playground all by herself and not tell Mommy that she was going" Gibbs winced at the pointed 'your' in front of daughter, and worry seeped in, his baby had been out alone?
"I'm sorry Shan" he said leaning in to kiss his wife "I didn't mean to let her off or anything like that" Shannon frowned "I'm sure you didn't, that little girl has you wrapped around her little finger" she said by way of accepting his apology.
"No both of you get, go wash your hands for dinner" she ordered, swatting them each once on the bum with her spoon smack, smack.
