Hello everybody! So this is my new fanfic after my first fanfic didn't go so good but I hope you will read this one! So this is about the Midnight Miracle Quiz from P4Golden and I decided to "remake" it because there were Yosuke, Chie, Yukiko and Yu but this time it's Kanji, Rise, Yukiko and Yu...why not Naoto you ask? Well it's because the timeline when the Prelims are happening is when Mitsuo was caught so that out of the way I hope you ENJOY IT!

The Preliminaries!
Sometime in summer peace has finally returned to Inaba, but One day...Teddie summoned Yu and a part of the gang inside the TV. In the usual TV entrance from Junes it would be normal but it was pitch dark this time.
"Lllllllladie aaaaaand Gennnntelmeeeeeen!" Teddie said enthusiasticly. "How are you doing all tonight, now that we can breath easy?" Teddie said happily this time. "Buuuuut enough small talk! Now the moment you've all been waiting for..."
"I'm you're host..."
A weak light lighted on him. ""On the Mark" TED Teddieson! Nice to meet you all." Teddie said like he's being a real host on a show. "Let's get this show on the road! With concentration, knowledge and Teddie's favor...Go for the gold!"
"We call it..."
"Midnight Trivia Miracle Quizzzzzzzzz" Teddie said with high enthusiasm.
When he said that line confetti started popping, a cheesy music started playing and bright lights shined upon the stage and it's was filled with big TV screens showing Teddie in all of them, big lights, cameras and four stadiums with Kanji the first on the line, Yu on the second, Rise on the third and Yukiko on the fourth. And Teddie was wearing for the show a white costume with a big red bow tie and a hat with a question mark on top of it.
Kanji right away said being confused "...Uggh...Hey, what the hell is this?" Teddie gladly answered him "Ohh is that a question from Mr. Kanji Tatsumi from Inaba?". Teddie was smiling at him but Kanji however got angrier "You danm right I have a question!" Kanji continued. "What's up with set up? And why'd you call us in here the first place!?" Teddie answered him annoyingly "Kanji! Can't you play along?"
Teddie continued. "I put this together as a celebration for solving the case!" "Can't you tell? No matter how you look at it, this set is obviously..." Teddie said. "Obviously...what?" Kanji said still being annoyed. "Bzzzt! Time's up! The correct answer is...a quiz show! Too bad, Kanji." Teddie chuckled at him. "You lose one point!"
Kanji after hearing that got annoyed even more. "Wha..! You little...I'm seriously losing a point for THAT!?" Teddie looked away from Kanji and said "Alright then, let's skip Kanji and go on introducing the contestan-."
Kanji abruptly stopped Teddie and said still annoyed. "Hey, I'm not done with you Ted! And what hell do you mean by "skip"!? Teddie looked back at Kanji and said to him. "Oh, no need to worry! You'll get your share of beartime."
Teddie continued with the introducing."Next up, another guest from Inaba...Rise Kujikawa!" Rise was stunned with surprise from the surround clap and cheer sounds and said "Huh...Hello?" She calmed down a bit and then said. "Uhhh...whose voices are these...don't tell me...is someone watching?"
Teddie came up to her. Oh, Rise-chan! You're so self-conscious! The crowd is just some sound effects I put together." Teddie said sarcasticly. Rise got angry for some reason and said "It's too realistic, you stupid bear!". Teddie ingored Rise and moved on to Yukiko. "Now, to the next contestant! Also from Inaba, Miss Yukiko Amagi!
Loud cheer sounds were heard and Yukiko was mashing the button I front of her and said. "I'm supposed to press it as fast as I can, right?" Rise sighed and said "Well, someone eager..."
Teddie continued. "And finally, our main contestant is...! Suddenly a camera stood in front of Yu and he said "Huh...wha-" He was interrupted by Teddie as he continued.
"Sorry to keep you waiting, dear viewers!" The camera moved to Yu's right. "The hands-down favorite of this tournament!" Then the camera move to his upper-right as he wanted to say something again. "Wait..uh-" "We have a special guest from Inaba!" The camera moved back to the front of Yu and Teddie continued. "Sennnnnnnnnnnseeeeeeei!" Teddie screamed out his name. "He's here to compete!""Hey what's up with this introduction!" Yu said somewhat embarrassed.
Kanji said with amazement "Woah, that's cool Senpai that you got that intro!" Rise however was bummed and said "That's not fair!". Teddie came to his podium. "Now then! Contestants, are you ready? I'm being cued to cut short!" Rise interrupted "Well, where's the AD?" Kanji said afterward with frustration. "Geez, are we really doing this crap!?" Teddie turned to Kanji and asked him.
"Mmmmm? I see now, Kanji...you're scared, aren't you? Kanji got mad. "Like HELL I am!? Teddie continued. "You're afraid you can't beat me in a battle of wits, huh? That you won't stand a chance against my brains?
Kanji didn't hesitate for a second and taunted him. "Of course I can! I'll do a couple rounds with you but don't cry to mommy when you got seriously beat up!" Rise sighed and said afterward "I don't think he meant to brawl you Kanji and way to fall for a stupid trick".
"Well I'm sure Teddie will be satisfied if we play along." Yu said to Rise and continued. "And hey, the case is closed! What's the harm in messing around like this every once in a while?"
"Well you do have a point Senpai, ok i'll do it!" Rise said. Teddie continued. "That's the spirit Rise-chan! Alright...it looks like our contestants are ready to rumble! Now then...Midnight Trivia Miracle Quiz! Let's begin!" Teddie finished his introduction and began to ask the questions.
Alright, first question: What's is the name of a special meal at Aiya that you can have for free...if you manage to eat it all?
Yu pressed the button and answered "Mega Beef Bowl!" Teddie gave an applause to him and said "Correct!"
Second question: What is the word President Tanaka uses to introduce his products on TV?
Yu pressed the button again and answered "Wonderfulness" "One point to Sensei" Teddie said happly. Kanji suddenly asked Yu "You watch that too much or something, Senpai?" Yu answered Kanji. "Of course, they have some good products in sale".
Third question: Among the boys of Yasogami High, what is the ritual of asking Yukiko out on a date called?
Yu yet again presses the button and answered "The Amagi Challenge" "Ohh...Correct again, Sensei" Rise turned to Yu and said amaized "Woah, you're pretty fast! And what about "Amagi Challange" thing?"
Fourth question: "Daidara Metalworks" in the central shopping district is known for its scar-faced owner. What does the dot after "Daidara" mean?
Everyone were hesitated and as a result no pressed the button. "Times up! Huh!? No one answered?" Teddie said somewhat surprised. "Hee..hee..this next upcoming question is a difficult one! Can any of answer this!?" Teddie said.
Fifth question: How many chairs are there in class 2-2 of Yasogami High School?
Yukiko was the first to press the button and she answered "29...it's 29!" "Correct Yuki-chan!" Teddie congratulated Yukiko. "Not bad, Yukiko." Yu congratulated her as well.
Sixth question: What color are the shoulders of the Shadow "Steel Machine" found in Void Quest?
Rise quickly pushed the button and answered "Black, white shoulders..." "Correct Rise-chan!" Teddie congratulated her and Yu asked in curiosity. "Whoa how do remember that?" Rise answered Yu with a smile. "I'm glad you noticed Senpai, but it's simple: I just keep the data...just in case." Yu said afterward. "So you cheated?" She was shocked to hear that and said. "No, of course not..hee..hee!"
Seventh question: Ryotaro Dojima is never without his suit. What color necktie does he wear?
Yu pressed the button and answered "Plain Red". "Cooooorrect Sensei!"
Eighth question: Who is the contemporary writing teacher who teaches class with a hand puppet that his wife made for him?
Kanji pressed the button and answered with hesitation. "Ugggh...Mr. Hosoi?" "Ohh...correct Kanji!" Teddie congratulated him and continued.
Ninth question: Everyone knows the home shopping program "Tanaka's Amazing Commodities" Which of the phrases he uses in his theme song?
Yukiko was the first to push the button before Yu could and answered "Granter of you're wishes!" "Too bad, that's incorrect!" Teddie shook his head. "Next up another difficult question and the last one! Are you ready?" Teddie cheered.
Tenth and the final question: What is the second-to-last stop on the train line going to Yasoinaba?
Yu answered answered the question "It's Nishi-Inaba" "Nope! Sorry Sensei but that's incorrect!" Teddie shook his head again.
"Aaaaaand that's the end of the round! Let's see the results!" Teddie checked the points that Yu, Rise, Kanji and Yukiko got in total and the results are Yu got 3 points, Rise 1p., Kanji 1p. and Yukiko 0p.
"The winner, as expected, is..." Teddie said happily. Drum roll started playing as the spotlights going wild over every contestant. "Sensei, from Inaba!" The Drum roll stopped and the spotlight lighted above Yu.
"Cool Senpai! You're pretty smart!" Kanji congratulated him, so as Rise and Yukiko. "Ohh...I knew it you're gonna win from the start, Senpai!" "Congratulations Yu-kun! I was so close, too..."
"Thanks guys!" Yu thanked them as he scratched his head. "Congratulations, Sensei!" Teddie continues. "After his long showing in the qualifiers, Sensei will be moving on to the playoffs!"
Everyone were surprised to hear that. "Huh? This is not finished?" Yu started and after him was Rise. "Playoffs...? Really Teddie..." Teddie got somewhat nervous and answered "Didn't I mention that? This is a qualifying round for a playoff spot." Rise groaned and mumbled "I knew it..."
Kanji turned to Yu and sarcasticly. "I'm glad I didn't win. But I'll be rooting for you Sen-'!" Kanji got interrupted by Yukiko "Oh, I see! There's still the playoffs!" "Don't get too excited Yukiko-senpai!" Rise said with a little annoyed.
Teddie turned to cameras as everyone else did and said goodbye enthusiasticly "Now then!...Until next time, take care and Bearwell!
Yu managed to win the quiz show, but according to Teddie, this was qualifying round...so Yu will be going to the Playoffs.
Soooo that's it the Prelims it's finished but the playoffs is on the road so stay tuned and find out what happens next and please review on how I did with this one even thought I only changed the dialog and characters! And maybe i'll put Naoto! So until next time! Goodbye!
