He's Such a Baka

It's the first day of fall... the wind is fresh, and there's a crisp sound in the air as rustling leaves are all around.

But I have to admit...

I hate fall.

There's Yoh, my destined husband, my fiancee. He's looking happy... as usual. He's lying down on the grass and looking up at the blue sky, stretching his arms. It's a surprise he isn't at the cemetery with Manta at this time. I'm sitting on the porch reading a book... or so I say, with one eye on Yoh.

I don't get it... this is so simple, yet he's able to smile. How can he smile at anything? It's as if everything is great to him... he's always smiling or laughing... it's so mind boggling...

I don't like it... I don't like anything that gets my mind to think that way, trying to figure out a maze.

"Yoh." I say out aloud.

"Hai?" He replied, straining his neck to look at me.

"Why are you here?"

He gulped. "Ah."

"Ten laps around the river, fifty push ups, and go get the groceries."

Yoh sat up straight and stretched again. "Sure."

That was a pretty light exercise I just gave...

"What do you want?" He suddenly asked, looking at me again.

"What?" I replied, in the same poker way I do.

"What do you want?" He repeated, with a huge grin.

"What?" I repeated.

"C'mon, we both know it's your birthday." He replied exasperated.

He knew what he said was wrong as soon as an angry expression spread on my face. I hated being reminded that.

"Okay..." He replied, a bit frightened. "I just don't get it, everyone else like it when it's their birthday, but you avoid it as much as you can."

"It's none of cares." I replied.

"Awww..." He replied, scratching the back of his head.

"Five more laps around the river."

"I'm gone, I'm gone!!" I heard him yell.

Good.

He's such a baka... I think we talk about this every year. And it's so predictable...

I stand up and walk into the house. As soon as I walk in, I know what to expect.

A flower on the table. Every year, a different kind, more beautiful as time passes.

I hear him out the door... and I stare at the blue flower on the table. Slowly, I pick it up and examine it.

I smile... in secrecy, and I smile only for him. It's such a small smile, you can hardly see it. Every year, he stays behind the door and just observes my expression. I can sense him, of course, and he knows I can sense him there. It makes him even happier to know that I smile even though I know he's there.

"Aha!" He said, popping out from the door.

As fast as a blink of an eye, my smile vanishes.

"What?" I asked.

"Does this mean I don't have to do today's exercises?" He asked in the sweetest voice he can muster.

"Out."

He's such a baka...

And I'm an even more baka.

End.

Ack!! I think that sucked!! X_X;;;;;........ OOC ALERT! .....please review anyway.....
