Disclaimer: I don't own anything Harry Potter. I also don't own J.K.Rowling and I hope that she doesn't sue me for incorporating her into this one-shot.

A/N: This is a one-shot, one-page fic. If you like the idea that I am presenting, please tell me and I will try and continue to write on it. If not, tell me and I won't. Either way. Thank You!

Hermione Granger sat at a desk in her roomy, upbeat London flat. She was idly staring out of the window as she put the finishing touches on her 7th novel. How clever, she found herself thinking for the hundredth time, of Dumbledore to arrange for her to write on Harry Potter's life, knowing that Voldemort and all of his death eaters were bound to get a hold of the information somehow.

She had begun writing the stories during her fourth year after Harry had been entered into the Triwizard Tournament. Professor Dumbledore had come to her that day and presented to her his plan. Of course she had loved it from the beginning. The sheer genius and cunning of it had intrigued her.

So she began with Harry's first year, which she had been fortunate enough to experience with him first hand. After that, she followed with every year after, having to take some time in between the years that hadn't happened yet. Every detail of their lives was recorded. Sometimes, though, she found that making things up was more appropriate. For instance, every time she read her series over or read any fan fictions that were written by the fans, the pretense of herself and Ron Weasley getting together made herself laugh out loud. It had the same affect on Ron when he read it.

Every so often, she would add in her own ideas, not Harry's and some original plot twists designed to throw any unwanted readers off. Sometimes, however, the twists weren't added for anyone but herself. She found that making things that might not normally happen to come true very pleasurable indeed.

The negative side to her fame and glory was that she had to produce the books under a false pen name. So she went by J.K.Rowling. That was another one of Dumbledore's lovely ideas. She hated the fact that she, Hermione Granger, wasn't being recognized for her own work. But some sacrifices must be made.

Pulling herself from her thoughts, she reminded her self that she had a deadline to stick to. Her fans might actually riot if this book were to be late.
