"Kim, can you help me with this hair dye? The developer is driving me up the wall!" came Knives' voice from the bathroom.

"Hold on, I'm just drying my hands off" came Kim's reply from the kitchen.

Sure Knives was familiar with dyeing hair, but some things were better with help. After all, Knives and Kim were on the same team. They were a somewhat strange combination; one somewhat butch and freckled, and the other Lolita-esc and more feminine. There had been an awkward kiss to start them off, but soon after they were inseparable. After letting Scott go off with that Flowers girl, Knives had been a tad bitter. But then she thought better of it; after all he had been a bit of an asshat. Soon after she and Kim had started talking; first a little about the Pilgrim who had been in her life for those short months, and then just about everything. The two became close, first as friends, and then a spark appeared out of the blue.

Knives and Kim were both at a party for a mutual friend who had moved back east from Calgary. Naturally they both had to play the room and talk with everyone, but soon they managed to bump into each-other. Something had been peculiar about that night, but for some reason, the two wound up in each other's arms for the bulk of that night. They swapped stories about what made the other cuter, and how they had both secretly wanted to confess their love. At the end of the party, they left together and wound up in Kim's car. They shared the beginnings of a very awkward kiss before coming to their senses. Blushing, they bid each-other goodnight.

That was three months ago, and things now couldn't possibly be better. Recently, Knives had moved in with Kim and had found a job. To Kim this was so much better than Scott had ever been; who had issues finding and much less keeping a job.
