FASH: Because Shin strikes me as the type who wouldn't notice if someone had a crush on him unless the person was very straight-forward, and even then he wouldn't know how he's supposed to respond to that kind of attention.
Disclaimer: Still don't own it.

In a fit of boredom Suzuna had taken it upon herself to ask everyone what their 'type' was. She stared off with the girls on the cheer leading team and received the usual 'tall, dark and handsome' answers before moving on to a more interesting, diverse group: Team Japan.
She usually received blanks stares for her efforts, but there were some who willingly answered her question, for example:
Mizumachi had grinned impishly and responded: "Kakei." without missing a beat, which hadn't been entirely too surprising.
Akaba had calmly taken off his glasses to clean the lenses while nonchalantly saying: "Someone who's smart." and sending a pointed look in Kotarou's direction.
Kotarou had answered without even having to be asked, hissing out: "Someone who doesn't play guitar."
He was apparently in denial, according to Akaba.
When she had asked Sena he had thrown several cautious looks around, as if to ensure that no one was listening in, which had the adverse effect of making people want to listen in.
Which had actually been his plan all along, not that he wanted anyone to know.
"Well, someone who plays football..." He'd said slowly and Suzuna, along with several others who were obviously eavesdropping, gave him a deadpan look.
"And he doesn't really speak that much," He continued and Mizumachi began leaning closer curiously. "and it's hard to tell what he's thinking sometimes, because his face is just like... A mask." His eyes flickered over to a certain stoic lineman, as if asking him to realize it was him he was talking about.
But Shin didn't seem to realize this, neither did Mizumachi, who had an incredulous look on his face as he connected the dots. "Wait a minute, the mummy man?"
"What? No!" Sena responded and Mizumachi tilted his head to the side.
"Really? Maybe it's just me, but it sounded like that's who you were describing."
'It's just you.' Nearly everyone currently in the room mentally urged.
"But if it's not the mummy man, who is it?"
"Well, to give you a bit more of a clue, it's someone who is currently in the room." Sena threw another look in Shin's direction, Mizumachi didn't seem to notice.
"Akaba?"
"No. My crush has dark hair."
"Musashi?"
"No."
"... It's not Kakei is it? Because he's mine."
"No! Shin-san! I like Shin-san!" Sena all but yelled and he crossed his arms rather huffily as he stood up and strode over to Shin, looking down at the mildly shocked boy for a moment.
"I like you Shin-san, and now you know. You seem to be surprised by this, so I'll give you some time to think it over."
Sena nodded to himself and walked away, leaving Shin to stare after him with slightly wider eyes than normal before turning those eyes to his team mates in distress.
Takami sighed and adjusted his glasses before glancing at the blonde to his right.
"Sakuraba, it looks like we've got some explaining to do."
