When he'd first met her he'd wondered whether it was the red hair that had attracted him, after all, it wasn't unusual for people to be drawn to those with similarities to their ex. It had made him feel rather guilty because he didn't want to compare Ginny with Willow; they were completely different (besides the red hair and the magic) but the nagging remained at the back of his mind.
Then, in a drunken act of rebellion, Ginny had dyed her hair a rich, dark brown. She had wanted to go black or blue or bright pink, but Oz had, amazingly, persuaded her to start slow. He was an expert after all and, despite the tequila, she'd listened.
It suited her a lot, there was no doubting that. He gave it a week and, in that time, realised that he was just as attracted to her no matter what colour her hair was. It was a huge relief. The next Saturday he'd gone into Diagon Alley and returned with a small bottle which he'd handed to her with a lopsided grin. Ginny had looked at him in confusion before reading the label.
'Dee Dee's Instant Dye-Be-Gone, for all those drastic styling mistakes.'
In a second she was laughing joyfully and throwing her arms around him.
"I've missed being a Weasley," she'd murmured against his neck before kissing him thoroughly.
No, it definitely wasn't the hair, no matter how much he loved it.
