A/N: I was listening to 'Aristocrats Symphony' by Versailles and this struck me. I also added a few lines from Shakespeare's sonnet because it reminded me of these two.

Some melancholy musings from yours truly.

Unspoken

If i could write the beauty of your eyes

And in fresh numbers number all your graces,

The age to come would say "This poet lies:

Such Heavenly touches ne'er touch'd earthly faces.'

Thier love was impossible. It was battered and bruised. Abused by darkness that overcame people. circumstances and people constantly pulling them apart, but despite this they were always drawn back together.

They could never be together but they couldn't escape each other.

Thier love was expressed through subtle actions, little smiles and the unspoken words that hung in the air.

He could never tell her he loved her. It wasn't fair to her, she deserved someone whole and good, someone who would never hurt her the way he had done. He was corrupted, he had to atone, he couldn't love her the way he was, the way she deserved to be loved.

But everytime he saw her his confidence wavered, his will faltering. He was siezed by the urge to have her, tell her how he felt, make sure no-on else could have her. His selfish thoughts shaming him.

Every little move she made was magnified in his eyes. Her long scarlet tresses, framing an angleic face, eyes full of understanding and compassion. A smile that lit up the entire room, a laugh that chimed melodiously, words dripping in honey.

He couldn't take it. The way she was so perfect. It killed him. It hurt because he had to live with the pain of hurting her, loving her and never being able to stay near her.

"Jellal"

She stopped him in the street. they were all alone under the stars. Unwillingly his mind snapped to the moment he was going to make the mistake of kissing her. It wouldn't have been fair to her but he found himslef wishing he had made that mistake.

"Erza? Something wrong?" she just smiled at him, and he knew she was aware of what was going through his mind.

"Hurry up..." she was still smiling but her eyes where pleading with him, "Please, just hurry up..."

He could hear her voice wavering. He couldn't take this, he wouldn't allow her to cry. He couldn't.

"Just a little longer...I promise Erza" he smiled at her, watching the calmness return to her eyes. He bid her goodnight and walked away.

Watching his retreating back, erza sighed. He was so stubborn, but she would break his will one day. She would make him admit his feelings.
