Blow up the Moon.
Sirius Black and Remus Lupin have been dating for almost two years now and they were just entering their 7th year at Hogwarts School. Remus knows everything that there is possibly to know about Sirius, so when Sirius started acting all secretive, he began to worry. Sirius would eat all his meals so quickly and then rush off, not telling anyone where he was going and later be found huddled over books in the library. If anyone would walk into their dorm room, he'd quickly hide pieces of paper and avoid their gazes. It wasn't until Remus saw Sirius being lead to the Headmasters office that Remus decided to have a look around their dorm. In usual circumstances, Remus would never snoop on Sirius, but the look on McGonagall's face and Sirius', was enough to make him have a look around. After searching under his bed, lightly thru his trunk and in any other hidey hole Sirius had found, he begun to worry even more, because there was no trace of what he was doing.
"What did Padfoot do this time?" James asked as he walked into their dorm.
"I have no idea; he's been acting strange all week." Remus replied scratching his head in frustration.
"Yeah I've noticed that, I mean he doesn't go to the library willingly, unless it's to be with you." James said and Remus blushed.
"So he hasn't said anything to you at all?" Remus asked.
"Not a word." James replied and he flopped onto his bed and begun looking at his new Quidditch magazine. Remus was now becoming more frustrated, not only did he have no idea what Sirius, he's boyfriend was up to, but James was being too causal about the situation. Remus sighed and picked up Sirius' bag off the floor, where his books dropped with a solid thud to the ground at his feet. In one book, a piece of paper was hanging out of it, so Remus bent down and went to put the paper back in the book, when he saw the heading "To Blow up the Moon." Staring in disbelief, he slowly pulled the whole page out of the book and sat down on his bed. On several bits of paper, stuffed in the book, were diagrams and descriptions of different ways someone could blow up the moon.
"What the?" Remus whispered and James looked up.
"What's a matter?" James asked.
"I found this in Sirius' book." Remus said and handed him the papers.
"Well least we know he isn't cheating on you." James said laughing, but Remus just sat there staring a small smile creeping across his face. As James was about to say something else, Remus got up off the bed, grabbed the papers back from James and headed out the door. As he arrived at his destination, out front the headmaster's door, Sirius emerged.
"I see you found them." Sirius said, his eyes darting from Remus' eyes to the papers in his hand.
"Is that what you got busted for?" Remus asked and Sirius nodded.
"Before you…" Sirius began to say but was stopped by Remus leaping into his arms and kissing him, long and deep. Between the happiness that Remus wasn't yelling at him and the confusion he was feeling, he managed to hold Remus close and return the kiss.
"That is the sweetest thing anyone has ever wanted to do." Remus said breathlessly as he pulled away. "Even though you would be sent to Azkaban for it." He added.
"Well it's not fair that the moon does it to you." Sirius said running his hand thru Remus' hair. "It wasn't your fault." He said.
"Have I told you recently how much I love you?" Remus asked.
"Yes, you tell me every day, but I love hearing it." Sirius replied and kissed him again.
"How about we kick James out of the room and I'll show you just how much." Remus said and they both headed back to their dorm, hand in hand, the papers and Sirius' detention long forgotten.
