We were sittin up there on your momma's roof

Talkin bout everything under the moon

With the small of honeysuckle and your perfume

All I could think about was my next move

Alex glanced over at his friend Mike. They had just turned only thirteen recently but Alex knew he liked Mike a lot as more than just a friend. They sat on Mike's rooftop, feet dangling over the edge. Mike had slipped and almost fallen a couple a times but Alex always made sure to catch him.

He slowly reached over and intertwined Mike's fingers with his own.

"Hmm… this is fun." He murmured.

Mike grinned and nodded in agreement.

Oh, but you were so shy, so was I

Maybe that's why it was so hard to believe

When you smiled and said to me

Mike suddenly turned to face Alex.

"Look, are you going to kiss me or not? I'm pretty sure it's obvious that I like you. But I'm not going to wait forever for you to make your move."

Are you gonna kiss me or not?

Are we gonna do this or what?

I think you know I like you a lot

But you're about to miss your shot

Are you gonna kiss me or not?

Alex blinked a few times, confused. But eventually a small smile played on his naturally pouty lips. He leaned in and gave Mike a small, soft, sweet kiss.

"Now c'mon Alex, you can do better than that." Mike smirked.

Alex grinned. He took Mike's face in his hands and kissed him. This time not pulling back until they needed oxygen.

It was the best dang kiss that I ever had

Except for that long one after that

And I knew if I wanted this thing to last

Sooner or later I'd have to ask for your hand

So I took a chance

Bought a wedding band and I got down on one knee

And you smiled and said to me

Now, six years later, they were 19 and in love. Alex knew he better propose so Mike would be his forever. No one could take him away. He went to the store and bought a fairly cheap ring. He didn't have a lot of money on him but every penny of it went to Mike. He went home and Mike was waiting on the couch of their tiny apartment. Alex wasted no time in getting down on one knee.

"Michael Mizanin, will you marry me?"

Tears of joy filled the teen's eyes. With a small nod, he smiled down at Alex.

"Are you gonna kiss me or not? I think we have a good shot at being happy together Alex."

Are you gonna kiss me or not?

Are we gonna do this or what?

I think you know I love you a lot

I think we've got a real good shot

Are you gonna kiss me or not?

So we planned it all out for the middle of June

From the wedding cake to the honeymoon

And your momma cried

When you walked down the aisle

Alex stood in his tux, holding Mike's hands as he stared lovingly into those ocean blue eyes. They waited for the preacher to say the vows.

"Say I do." The preacher said.

"I do."

"I do."

Alex beamed as he brushed a strand of hair away from Mike's face, revealing that beautiful smile.

"Are you gonna kiss me or not?" Alex whispered.

When the preacher man said, "Say I do"

I did and you did too, then I lifted that veil

And saw your pretty smile and I said

"Are you gonna kiss me or not?

Are we gonna do this or what?

Look at all the love that we got

It ain't never gonna stop

Are you gonna kiss me or not?"

"I'm never gonna stop loving you Mike." He smiled warmly at his new husband.

Mike practically jumped into his husband's arms and smashed their lips together.

"Mine. Forever." Alex whispered into his ear.

Yeah baby, I love you a lot

I really think we've got a shot

Are you gonna kiss me or not?
