Annoying A/N: So Hi! Just to let you know, whoever's country name is being used it's their POV! If you don't know Kiku= Japan, Yao= China

China sighed. He was at Kiku's house and it was new year's eve. Kiku had gotten himself sick with all his work, and finally given up to let China take care of him. The Chinese man knew that he would have just kept working if he hadn't been there when Kiku had started throwing up out of nowhere.

Kiku had agreed to China taking care of him on one condition: that they would stay up for new year's eve. The older man had agreed even though he didn't celebrate the same New Year as Kiku, mostly because he wanted the Japanese man to be as happy as he could be. 'You can't get over sickness if you're not happy, right aru?' That was his reasoning.

Japan shivered and pulled the blanket Yao had given him closer. "Japan." Yao said "I told you not to work yourself so hard."

"Watashi wa, anata ga yatta to wa omoimasen" (I don't believe you did) He muttered.

"Stop sulking aru. It's not like I've disregarded your condition." Yao held out a plate of toast. "Eat something too."

Japan put a hand on his stomach as he felt it churning. He looked up at the older man as if to say "Do I have to?" and Yao sighed and put the plate down. The Chinese man sat down next to him, muttering something that was too quiet and just a bit too Chinese for Japan to understand.

The Japanese man shivered again and pressed himself closer to Yao. He felt the older man tense at first, then he said, "If you're going to do that can I at least be under the blanket aru?"

Japan stifled a laugh and gave Yao some of the blanket. He looked away, trying not to let the older man see the slight blush that he felt painting itself on his cheeks.

It was about 11 pm when Kiku suddenly slammed his hand to his mouth and ran to the bathroom. China instantly went after him. The Japanese man was kneeling over the toilet retching. Though the awful sound made China feel slightly sick himself, he went to the younger man's side, rubbing his back and whispering soothing things to him.

About half an hour passed and China asked, "Are you feeling any better now aru?"

"Eeto…." (Um…) Kiku bit his lip and shrugged.

The Chinese man looked at his watch and held it out for Kiku to see. He blinked a few times then grabbed China's hand and pulled him along

"Shénme?" (What?) The surprised Chinese man blurted.

"Come on! We can still celebrate!"

Kiku quickly turned on the TV and flipped through channels until he found the right one. China couldn't help smiling at his sudden and slightly childish behavior.

11:38, 11:43, 11:48, 11:55, Kiku kept getting more fidgety with every passing minute. The older man was kind of getting excited himself. 11:59, 30 seconds China thought he could see a slight blush covering Kiku's cheeks. 10, 5, 3, 2, 1, China felt something on his cheek. His mouth fell open slightly as he realized that Kiku was kissing him and he blushed hard.

Kiku shifted back and said, "X-xīnnián kuàilè Yao…" (happy New Year Yao). He was blushing almost as much as the older man.

"Um… Watashi wa, Kiku no anata o aishite." (I love you, Kiku) China said, blushing more if that was even possible.

Kiku looked up at him, eyes wide, and his cheeks crimson. "I….." He closed his eyes for a few seconds. When he opened them again he appeared much calmer, though he was still blushing like mad, and he said, "Wǒ yě ài nǐ, Yao…" (I love you too, Yao). With that China pulled Kiku close to him and kissed him on his soft lips. If there was ever any true bliss in the Chinese man's life it was this.
