As Loghan crunched through the freshly fallen snow between the the shadow of the trees, he inhaled deeply. Yes, he decided, she had definitely come this way and veered off to the left. Her smell was acidic, and he wrinkled his nose in distaste. She stunk of fear and pain. She could sense him, he felt it, but was still waiting to see what he was here for before attacking, just hoping that he would pass through the woods without noticing her. Professor X had warned him about this girl and how dangerous she was, and told him that under no circumstances should he try to capture her, but Loghan was in the neighborhood and thought "Oh, what the hell." The professor kept going on about how they were working out some way to trap her and she had gone all feral and blah blah blah, but come on! He was Wolverine! Any blows she delivered, no matter how hard, could not affect his regenerative skin. He could hear her heartbeat now, as fast as a hummingbird's, yet a thousand times stronger. THUMP. THUMP. THUPPATHUPPATHUPPATHUPPA-She was now right in front of him in a bush. Ever so slowly, he stepped in. With a frightened scream, the young girl immediately jumped out from her hiding place and drew herself up to look larger, growling all the while. Startled, Loghan drew out his claws in self-defence. This, along with coming here in the first place, was not a very smart move.

All Loghan had time to register was the girl's eyes, a brilliant red, suddenly turn completely jet black before he felt a sharp sear of pain run through his head. He promptly fell to his knees, screaming at the top of his lungs. It felt as if daggers were repeatedly stabbing him in the head, over and over again. It was a pain too unbearable to comprehend, and a sort that Loghan had never come close to experiencing in all his years. He could not only feel pain, but the girl's wild and fearful thoughts stabbing through his mind, almost as if she was using said thoughts to attack. Mad with pain, Loghan roared and started blindly slashing the air with his claws, both crawling and writhing on the ground in agony. Everything was going fuzzy, all of his senses fading…except for the pain…and then, time itself froze.
