"You get one phone call Jonathan. Make it worth it." The police officer said.
"Is pizza worth it?" The man sneered but started to dial in a number at the officer's withering glare. Not because he was scared of the man, he just got bored of playing. As the officer peered at the Herondale, Jonathan file, he found some interesting information. The tatted 22 year old seemed to have a record for starting fights around town but he always got bailed out by the same person. A Clarissa Fray. This officer was excited to meet the legendary girl that comes in practically every week to bail out Jace. In fact, Jace was probably calling her right now.
"Hey Clary . . . yes I got in another fight . . . I know it was stupid . . . yeah same station . . . another tattoo I got it . . . okay I'll see you soon." Jace sighed while the police officer listened to the one sided conversation with an amused expression. Not a moment later, a petite red haired girl that looked around 21 entered the room. Jace grinned at the woman.
"Hi Clary!" Jace said cheekily while the girl studiously ignored him.
"What did he do officer?" Clary sighed.
"Well he went to the new bar Wolf Pack and harassed the customers by starting fights." The officer replied and Clary smiled tightly at him before turning to Jace.
"JACE. Are you kidding me? This is what you got in trouble for? Luke is going to kill you I hope you know that. That was his new bar you started a fight in. He was out for the night to meet up with Jocelyn but when he hears what you've done, well I wouldn't want to be you. Were Simon and Isabelle there? Izzy has been going on all week about this date and if you messed it up for them . . ." Clary trailed off shaking her head. Jace just smirked while the officer continued to watch. He would've asked for them to leave already but this was way too interesting. Call him nosy, but his job gets pretty dull at times.
"They weren't there. They decided to go to Taki's last minute. And don't worry no one seemed mad. Well Maia kinda did but then she went back to sucking Jordan's face off." Jace waved it off and the officer saw a small smile on Clary's face.
"Okay now let's get out of here before you wear out your welcome . . . again. I hope you don't make me spend all my money bailing you out." Clary finished in a teasing tone but Jace looked guilty at the money comment. Obviously Clary must one of the few people in Jace's life who he actually cares about.
"Jace stop freaking out it was a joke! I get plenty of money from painting and my tattoo parlor." Clary scolded him.
"If you don't mind me asking," the police officer interrupted and Clary turned to him. "Did you give Jace all of his tattoos?" Instead of Clary, Jace answered.
"Every time she bails me out she makes me test out a new tattoo as payment. So yeah." Jace said with a grin. Clary shook her head, waved to the cop, and dragged Jace out the door.
"That was new . . ." The officer mumbled as he looked out the window to see the two get on a motorcycle.
Crazy youths these days.
