"The guy's a good actor but that lady brings the whole movie down," Junpei mumbled to Izumi, gesturing towards the television set. Izumi mumbled something in agreement and continued munching on the buttered popcorn sitting in the bowl on her lap.
"Mmm... Yeah, that lady is just a waste of space. An overpaid waste of space, that is... Mm... Good popcorn..." Izumi said, keeping her attention upon the movie. Junpei nodded absentmindedly, it was his nature to agree with everything Izumi said, his hand reaching for the popcorn. She yanked the popcorn away from him.
"Hey! I made that popcorn," Junpei cried, diving for the popcorn.
"Nope!" Izumi replied, slipping off the couch. When Junpei pouted at her from his position of leaning half over the arm of the couch, Izumi laughed to herself. Which made Junpei pout even more.
Junpei tried to reach Izumi but she was standing out of reach. He sighed and let his arm hang by the couch. "All I wanted was some of that popcorn... May I have some?"
Sitting back on the couch and setting the bowl on the other arm of the couch, Izumi helped Junpei sit back up. "Mm... Maybe, maybe not," she said and Junpei's pout came back, even worse this time. "You're just a big baby. Wait a minute, alright?"
Junpei sighed. Arguing with Izumi was totally useless, as he learned from past experiences. Soon enough, Izumi gave Junpei the popcorn bowl. He peered into the bowl. "Hey! There's only a handful of popcorn left!"
Izumi gave him a big grin. "Well, I'm so small and scrawny. That must mean I need more food than a great big bear like you."
"Well," Junpei sighed. "If you say so, Izumi." He always thought she was right. This wasn't an exception.
