"What does everyone want to do when this is over?" Aeris asked suddenly as the Avalanche gang lay idly by the campfire. A silence fell upon them. Before now, they hadn't even began to think about what they would do in the future. She glanced around her and when she noticed nobody had an answer, she spoke again.

"I want to open a flower shop."

"Where?" Tifa asked interested. Aeris shrugged, a thoughtful look on her face.

"Midgar would be the sensible option, my mother lives there, I know it and, well, flowers are in demand since they don't grow there."

"Except your Church," Cloud said suddenly, taking the group by surprise. Cloud hardly ever engaged in any conversation, especially ones that didn't involve catching up to Sephiroth. Aeris beamed at him.

"You remembered!" she said happily. Cloud shrugged.

"Well, it's kind of hard to forget when you were lying on them for so long."

"Holy shit! Spike made a joke!" Cid cried, his cigarette hanging from his mouth in shock. Cloud blushed slightly but Aeris glared.

"Don't make fun of him!" she said, smiling at Cloud. "He's going to get a lot of my profit!"

"He what?" Cid and Yuffie yelled together. Cloud blinked.

"What?"

"As a thank you," she explained, "for looking after me."

Cloud's blush deepened and he shook his head slightly. "You don't have to do that."

She smirked, leaning over so only he could hear. "How about another date instead then?" she asked flirtatiously. He glanced at her from the corner of his eye and she caught his lips lifting up into a grin.

"That would be better," he replied teasingly. She giggled, her cheeks taking on a gentle shade of pink.

"I'll have to make sure nobody is in the shop then," she whispered, winking at him.
