"Um… Orihara-San?"
"What!?" He snapped
"You were, uh, talking to yourself" the girl in the school uniform informed him quietly
"SO!?" He yelled at her
"I-I just thought you might not have noticed and it, uh, it seemed a, um, a sensitive subject that you might not want everyone on the street knowing… particularly one person…"
Izaya knew he should thank the girl. He had spiralled him out of dangerous thoughts. But he couldn't bring himself to. So he smirked his trademark smirk and asked "Do you have a mobile?"
"No" The girl said dubiously "Why?"
Izaya frowned "Nevermind"
"IIIIIIIZZZZZZAAAAAAAAAYYYYYY YAAAAAA-KUUUUNN!" A voice Izaya always recognised yelled from behind him. Izaya yanked the girl out of the way of the thrown vending machine. Not an action he usually cared to take but
"We're even now" He muttered "so get out of here. And go that way!" he pointed down a side street and then ran in a different direction. A smile of pure joy on his face
