Sparx POV

"I CAN'T DO THIS! Yea I can-NO I CAN'T! STOP BEING A BABY! I'M TOO NERVOUS! MAN UP!- Wait….Monkey up? GAH!" I was "silently" giving a "pep talk" to myself. I HAD to tell Nova what she meant to me! But I kept chickening out!

Does she even like me? ….I can't read her mind! And she keeps giving me mixed messages. She hugs me and I see the love in her eyes then she hits me and I see the annoyance in her-

*knock-knock*

MONKEY DOODLE! DID I REALLY JUST KNOCK!? The door opened (before I could run away) and I was greeted by a pair of bubblegum pink eyes.

"O-oh….H-hey Nova what's up?" I asked giving a nervous smile. Just play it cool.

"Nothing much…What do you want?" she asked. Her eyes …..they're …..so

…..hypnotising…

"Uh….Sparx?" Wha….? OH NO! I ZONED OUT AGAIN!

"Sorry...uh So I was….uh…..wondering…"

"Yes?"

"Do you wanna...maybe….do something later?" I wanted to run SOOOO badly. My knees were shaking and my tail twitched nervously just waiting for the rejection.

"Just me and you?" She asked.

"Y-yea." She stood silently for a moment.

"Ok, 7:00 at the hoverburger stand?" I nodded numbly. She smiled and closed the door. My heart stopped. I walked back to my room with my mouth still open in shock. I cosed the door.

"...OH YEA BABE! SHE SAID YES! SHE SAID YES! THIS IS THE BEST DAY OF MY LIFE!" I shouted jumping around. And it's going to be the BEST NIGHT of my life too! NO ONE not even Skeleton King WAS GOING TO RUIN THIS FOR ME! I looked over at my clock. It said 6:00. I'd better get ready! I quickly hopped in the shower and started to scrub my fur while singing my favorite song out loud.

Nova POV

I smiled and closed the door. I pressed my ear to the door and listened until his footsteps grew faint.

"...YES! FINALLY! I'VE BEEN WAITING FOREVER FOR HIM TO ASK ME OUT! THIS IS THE BEST DAY OF MY LIFE!" I screamed as I danced around the room. And it's going to be the BEST NIGHT of my life too! NO ONE not even Mandarin WAS GOING TO RUIN THIS FOR ME! I glanced at my clock. 6:00? I gotta get ready! I ran to the bathroom and hopped into the tub to take a nice relaxing bath….

Sparx POV

I dried my fur with a towel and grabbed a comb off the counter. As quickly as I could, I brush my fur until it was almost shining. Then I ran outside to the hoverburger stand. There she was….waiting for me…...she practically shined with beauty….I glanced to my left at a rose bush. *smirk*

Nova POV

I'd only been waiting for about a minute when Sparx came over to me.

"These are for you." he said sheepishly holding out a messy bouquet of roses. He's so sweet… "So…...You wanna order a burger?" he asked.

"Yea sure." I answered. He smiled…...I love his smile…..

"What can I get for you two love birds?" asked Mr. Gackslapper giving us a mischievous wink. I felt my face heat up in embarrassment.

"I'll have a double cheese Gacker Slapper burger." I said slowly. I hope Sparx doesn't think I'm a pig…..

"I'll have the same." he replied giving me one of his signature smirks. I practically melted in his gaze. "So how much will that be?" Mr. Gackslapper looked thoughtfully at the grill before smiling and saying, "It's on the house!" He handed us the burgers and we sat down.
