Call The Fire Daprtment
Summary: An SI needs to ensure that Ace will meet the Straw Hats in Alabasta. How do they do it? By putting an ad in the paper of course. Might become a drabble, so review with any ideas for ads you have.
Story Start: Loguetown Post Office
Rubber going after Darkness, requesting Fire support. Rendezvous in Nanohana, Alabasta, Rubber rides a Sheep.
The figure in a hooded jacket studied the scrap of paper they had written on for a moment before giving a definitive nod and handing it to the post master along with two hundred beri. The Postmaster looked at the scrap of paper with a raised eyebrow before shrugging and giving the figure a nod before handing it to a postal bird which took off. After wishing the Postmaster a good day and getting a return wish, the figure stuck their hands in their jacket pockets and strolled out of the post office. They had an attempted Execution to watch.
Time Skip: The Next Day, A Café in the Paradise Half of the Grand Line
Ace took a sip of his coffee as he took a break in his search for Blackbeard in order to read the paper. It was possible that the bastard had made the news giving him a better lead on catching up to the traitor. Unfortunately there wasn't anything really interesting in the headlines. Idly looking at the ads, Ace took another sip of his drink as his eyes roamed over them before he registered what they had just seen and snapped up to an ad near the top. A moment later, Ace spat out his coffee and pounded his chest as he coughed. Soon as he could breath properly again, he reread the ad a second time before he shot up from the table he was at, barely remembering to slap down some coins for his coffee and sprinted out of the café and towards the docks. He didn't know WHY his brother would be going after Blackbeard, or possibly even know about him, but he couldn't let the two meet. Leaping off into the dock and onto the Striker, Ace blasted away from the island heading towards Alabasta, the cleft hook his craft had been tied to ripped off the dock from his departure and trailing him as he left.
