There was just something about him she liked, something that made him pop amongst the rainbow-colored singers; she liked the pure, snow-white, dual-eyed Utatane Piko. The boy who was beautiful in both a feminine and masculine way. The boy who always held his head up high, regardless of his short stature or shortcomings.

It wasn't long before the like grew into an obsession and she found herself running off to wherever he was. The part of him she loved above the rest was –no, not his smile- the way he would look to the floor and fiddle with his arm warmers when he was embarrassed or put on the spot. He didn't bask in the lime-light, carrying a sense of modesty she loved. She loved it so much that she was tempted to leave her hiding place and jump into his arms when he was lost in the crowd of rainbow singers.

"There you are!"

The sound made her fall on the floor instinctively. Even though the voice was familiar, one she loved to hear every day, she still needed to be precautious.

"Mimi! You need to stop running off. If someone sees you, I don't know what I'd do." Mayu, her owner, sighs as she picks her up from the ground.

That's right; you're nothing but a stuffed rabbit with feelings for a singing android.

It hurts.

It hurts.

"Mayu, why can't I be like you?" She says after they're in the safety of their room, where no one can hear her speak.

Mayu looks to the white ceiling; a black-gloved finger delicately touches her bottom lip. The look is much too thoughtful for her taste, but she waits, because Mayu is her master and she would be as patient as needed to be for her.

"I don't know…but I like you like this, don't you?"

The childish gleam in Mayu's eye hurts; it makes her cringe, thinking of the way Mayu would react if she knew the truth. Usano Mimi wasn't happy being a stuffed rabbit with a microphone on top of her head and the ability to speak or move, Usano Mimi wanted to be an android like her; an android that could live life amongst the humans and actually talk to Piko, not just stare at him longingly whenever her owner was distracted.

"Of course! As long as I'm with master, I'm happy." It was a lie, but Mayu's smile helped ease the pain, if only a little.
