Grandma's letter.
She is eighty-eight years old and still drives her own car, she writes:
Dear Grand-daughter,
The other day I went op to our local christen book store and saw a "honk if you love Jesus" bumper sticker. I was feeling particularly sassy that day because I just came out from a thrilling choir performance, followed by a thunderous prayer meeting. So, I bought the bumper sticker and put it on my bumper. Boy am I glad I did, what an uplifting experience that followed.
I was stopped at a road with a busy intersection on a red light. I was just lost in thought about the lord and how good he is, and I didn't notice that the light has changed. It was good thing that someone else loved Jesus because if he wouldn't have honked I would have never have noticed. I found that a lot of people loved Jesus! While I was sitting there, the guy behind started to honk like crazy, and then he leaned out of his window and said' for the love of God! GO! GO! GO! JESUS CRIST GO! What an exuberant cheerleader he was for Jesus! Everyone started honking! I even honked my own horn a couple times to join in the love. There must have been a man from Florida because I heard him yelling something about a sunny beach. I saw another guy waving in a funny way with only his middle finger stuck in the air. I asked my grandson in the back seat what that meant. He said it was probably a Hawaiian good luck sign or something. I never met anyone from Hawaii before so I leaned out my window and gave him the good luck sign right back. My grandson burst out laughing; even he was having a good time. A couple of people were so caught up in the moment that they got out of their cars and started walking towards us. I bet they wanted to know what church im from or to pray. But this was when I noticed that the light had changed. So, I waved at all my brothers and sisters and drove away. I noticed that I was the only one who got through the intersection, and I felt kind of sad. So I slowed the car down, I leaned out the window and gave them all the good luck sign one last time and drove away.
