It started off as a normal day I sat down at the table with my mother's husband sitting across from me. I did not trust James I feel scared whenever I am around him, even though I do not like James my mum likes him and because my mum liked him they got married.
I am happy for her because she has found love but I made sure Elijah was kept away of him whenever I could. James never did anything but I just never trusted him but despite the fact I didn't trust him he took care of my mum.
Because of the fact that he took care of my mum and treated her with respect I never said anything to mum or my dad, my dad is Charlie he is the Chief of police in forks. Never in my wildest nightmare did I think what happened to our family would happen.
Two years later I had finished tucking Elijah into bed because James had took mum out. Once Elijah had settled down in bed I finished washing up then I did some work, once I had done what I wanted to do I got ready for bed.
I had not been in bed for long when I was woken by something, it took my brain a few seconds to register what I had just herded and the noise that woke me is my mum screaming, I imminently became alarmed as I've never herd her scream before.
I got out of bed quickly and went to see why my mum was screaming when I got to my mums and James room I was horrified at what I saw. I saw my mum's husband James stabbing my mum. I picked Elijah up and wrapped him in a blanket,walked quickly but quietly down stairs and went out the door.
As soon as I got far enough away from the house and I knew James wouldn't see or here me I started running to the nearest telephone box to phone the police. I wasn't sure if James knows I saw him stab my mum so I ran a little bit more to give the police time to get there.
When I figured enough time had passed for the police to get to my house and see what I saw I started heading back home and when I got home I saw that James is in the police car. I made sure not to let James see Elijah and I because I did not want James to know that I am the person who phoned the police on him.
