My Love, My Life, My Juliet

It hurts that you are gone, no longer with me

Your smiling, beautiful face I wish I could see

A thousand swords pierce my heart

Every time I think of us being apart

My love, my life, my Juliet

I am forever filled with regret

The choice between love and war

I now thrive for the other more

For when I heard that the hellish fire danced down your throat

My heart sank, like a destroyed wrought-iron boat

It was a reminder of when,

You proved your love to me again and again

Your braveness was never one to be measured

These good qualities of yours I have always treasured

For you slashed your side, for my trust

But I left you alone, in the dust

My love, my life, my Juliet

You left me, and yet

I am happy, for you are like a caged bird, now free

From all your thoughts of grief and worry caused by me

For even if you are not in my arms

You will be in my heart, safe from harm

Watching me for above

I will never forget you, my love

For not even death can make my memories disappear

They will always remain in my heart, so very dear

You will always be the sunshine of my love, my brightest light

My Juliet, my love shines so bright

Farewell my dear

I hope you can hear

My words of love and woe

For you will always be my love, my life, my Juliet and I was your Romeo.
