Hello Johto Region!
As the boat comes to a slow stop, Miku, who is sleeping on her brother's shoulder, wakes up. The sun is just barely rising, with a soft purple glow shining on her face. Mikuo is silently staring out the window looking back towards the now unseeable Orange Islands.
"Mikuo… Don't be sad, we did the right thing." She gripped his shirt and hugged him.
"Miku, I'm not regretting anything, it's just… what if mom sends someone after us?"
"Well, then the solution is simple!" She stands up and stretches right before she whips out her Pokeball. "They come after us, and we kick their asses!" Mikuo chuckles at her as he stands up and yawns. It's still early in the morning, but it clearly can't be earlier than 7 AM, seeing as Azalea Town is booming as usual. The siblings step off the boat along with several other people from the Orange Islands, and immediately notice the plethora of Pokemon trainers up early training their Pokemon.
"Brother… how are we even supposed to compete with so many of them?" Miku holds Pachi's pokeball in her grip tightly, right as Mikuo motions to the Poke-Mart.
"Before we get to battling, we need to get you a new Pokedex, because SOMEBODY decided to leave theirs at home." Mikuo chuckles as he walks to the Poke-Mart with Miku behind him.
"Well maybe if someone told me about us leaving I would've had more time to prepare…" Mikuo ignores her and holds the Poke-Marts door open for her.
"Now Miku, you go get a Pokedex and I'm gonna decide where we have to go first."
Mikuo walks outside of the store and looks at a Johto map posted next to a nearby park bench.
"Y'know, a helpful trick to reading the maps is to look for the gyms that have faces next to them. Those are the gym leaders, in order from bottom right, to top left, where the elite four are," a mysterious voice behind Mikuo said. Mikuo whirls around to see a boy with combed light brown hair and a Poke-soccer t-shirt looking at him with friendliness.
"I don't have time for people," Mikuo says, turning his head back on the map.
"Just tryin to be helpful, where the hell is Liam? He went into the Pokemart, like twenty minutes ago, it can't be that hard to decide a Pokedex model. He must be either too indecisive, or flirting." The boy said looking at the Pokemart with Miku still inside.
"Miku!" Mikuo gasps and starts walking towards the Pokemart, just as a kid with blond hair and green eyes, wearing a trainer league shirt, walks out of the market, holding the door open for Miku.
"Thanks for helping me decide, I'm a slow learner when it comes to tech," The boy said with a slight chuckle.
"Wh-Wh-What?!" Miku blushed slightly, surprised that she was being thanked by a random boy "A-A… Arigato!" Miku said looking away with a blush.
Without warning, Mikuo runs up and punches the blonde boy square in the face.
"AHEM! Miku, who the hell is this kid?" Mikuo looks down at the boy just as Jaren runs over.
"Woah, woah, was that punch really needed just because he talked to your-" He looks at Miku and Mikuo, curious to know the relationship between them.
"Sister. Just because he talked to my SISTER. Yes, it was needed." Mikuo let out a sigh as he stared down at blonde boy who was wiping off his face.
"Look, I didn't mean that." Mikuo helped the boy up as he dusted himself off.
"I don't know who you are, but I have a question." The blonde boy paused for a moment right, "Would you guys go on a journey with us?!" The siblings seemed confused at this, and right after shaking hands, the 4 adolescents looked towards route 33, and set off.
